Can someone please post a reliable link about this alleged Ray Allen/Rondo rift?
I just don't believe it, that's all.
Here's one, of many:
http://www.nesn.com/2012/06/report-ray-allen-rajon-rondo-had-friction-this-season.html
..But, even with this, it's just speculation, IMO....no true "Inside" source.
I know Jackie McCallum stated that she believed Ray was gone as well - she seems to have a lot of clout.
But even with Jackie - did she actually here Doc, Danny, Ray or Rondo say that Ray was gone?
There is just so much speculation out there. Even the most reliable sources can be wrong sometimes.
The celtics are far too classy of an organization and group of players to go public with these things. This is all we will get until well after Ray retires.
Can they patch things up and have Ray come back? I could see that, they are mature guys. Do they want to, and do the celtics really want Ray back? That is the question.
I'm believing that the Celtics DO want Ray Allen back.
Danny mentioned right after the MIA series that he wanted BOTH Ray and KG back to mentor the youngsters - along with Paul.
KG was one shoe that dropped today.
Ray Allen is the next shoe to drop.
So until Ray Allen departs, I'm still believing that he will be back in Green.
Rumored relationship issues aside, the man played on a bad ankle and STILL made this team competitive vs MIA.
Sure - he certainly wasn't himself. But he seemed to find his game vs MIA and became close to the Ray Allen we all know.
My thing is this: Who will BOS bring in to replace what Ray Allen gives us?
Jamal Crawford, OJ, etc - these guys just have not impressed me in the post-season.
For me, I'll believe that rumors and speculation are abound and Ray will be back in Green next season - with ankle healed and all.
