I think DGreen would be the cheapest and then CLee and then Orange Juice Mayonnaise.

MAYBE something like

DGreen 3-4 mil/year
CLee 4-6 mil/year
OJM 6-8 mil/year

Gerald Green had solid numbers last year. Maybe Doc wants no part of him again, but he complements Rondo well and would be a good alternative to AB at the 2 to guard bigger SGs like Paul George and Joe Johnson.

Only if Ray comes back. I wouldn't want him as the primary back up, if AB goes down, can he fill that spot yet. HE has gotten better, and has been humbled and Ray would be the best guy to teach him how to be a SG pro.

If he picked up Half of Rays work ethic the kid would be good, and if his out side shot improved it would be huge for him.

Danny Green disappeared during this postseason. It got so bad at one point that the Spurs kicked him from the rotation. No thanks, I'd rather take a proven player than a D-league scrub.

I have no doubts, OJ Mayo, but I like very much the idea of Louis Williams, Louis can to play as point/shooting guard.

Mayo is a pure shooting guard, he´s a good player.

Out of these three give me Courtney Lee.  I wasn't trying to rhyme.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I wonder what it would take to get a guy like Dorrell Wright. I know he wasn't as great as expected last year, but he seems like the kind of player that could slide right into the back up role behind Bradley or Pierce (he's 6'9") and certainly play starter minutes if need be. He also has a heck of a three point shot and his contract is much more reasonable than what Mayo's will be....

I don't know, I maybe totally wrong. I just really liked him after last season and don't think it would take all that much to get him.

Really? I like Green better for the C's: likely cheaper, much bigger/longer, good shooter.  Pretty good ball-handler too.

Not the shot creator/volume shooter Mayo is, but I think he's a more capable all-around player.

He had a rough ending to the playoffs (as did the Spurs), but he played every possible game (regular and playoffs) averaging over 20mpg.

Bench needs a scorer, not necessarily a shooter.  Instant offense and I think Mayo is the best of those options.  He can actually create his own shot which, IMO, wasn't a strength for the Celtics offense last season. I not too concerned about shooting percentages.  Offensive stagnation is my biggest concern and I saw too much of that last season.

Mayo at 6-8 million would be terrible...
