Refreshing look inside the relationship between a father and a son. Great stuff. He's going to sick his two ace dobermans on his son. I can just picture it, Doc will tell Rondo and Avery "go get em" and Rondo and Avery will look at each other then look at Doc and say "you sure bout this?"

He goes on to say that his wife isn't going to appreciate that his Celtics foul hard to all rookies. KG never offers his hand to pick an opponent off the floor after a hard foul...I wonder if he helps Doc's kid up? Love this stuff. If I'm being honest, its probably best that Doc is not coaching his son. Its really not fair to both of them or their family.

I couldn't help but feel proud for Austin when he was selected. Congratulations to Austin, Doc and his family!

avery is a good match up defensively against austin, rondo is too. i personally am interested in seeing anthony davis and austin work together. should be an interesting duo.

new orleans is crappy though. New Orleans being the murder capital of the country? I refuse to even drive through that city

What do you guys think the Hornets will do with Eric Gordon now that Austin's on board? They have overlapping games and some sources say that they may be open to sign and trading him if the contract he receives from another team is too big (Pacers).

gordon is a goner. hes unproven and injury prone.

they'll keep him to pump his stock then move him for someone.

It think they'll try keeping Gordon or that's what it sounded like from Monty

That would be Memphis, Baltimore, or detroit I think.
NO got some bad mofo's though.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I recently visited new orleans and found that the vast majority of people there were great. Sure there are some shifty areas where nasty stuff would happen but that's no different from any city.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

I haven't been to New Orleans since the Katrina tragedy, but when I was there, I absolutely loved it.  Great culture, great music, great vibe, great people, and pretty good food, too.

Luckily, nobody tried to murder me.

Add Oakland to that list. Anyways, I like the duo. Austin has star potential and Anthony-brow is as well. They have a ton of cap room as well. And knowing that the future could be very bright, with a very good coach in Monty Williams, it might attract some FAs.

I'm wondering what they will do with Gordon? Who plays point? Is it him or Austin?

man I love me the BIG EASY,  we vacation there often.   Like any large city it has a few dumps and high crime areas, but for the most part , I have no reason to go into those areas and I enjoy the other 95% of the city that is just fine.

I have to stay away for NO though , I gain 10 pounds every tiem I visit.

Best possible thing happened to Austin:

1) the C's didn't have the goods to move up and get him, so he and the Celtics dodged that bullet--even though they both may have wanted it; and

2) he's coming into a team where he's not even the star rookie.

IMO that's just what the kid needed.

Gordon might transition to PG in a "Russell Westbrook" kind of role. Austin Rivers can be their "James Harden" off the bench.
