As talented as Gerald is, he belongs putting up big numbers on a bad team for a couple more years.  I don't think he really helps a team win yet.  He was an absolute ball hog the few times I saw him last year.  And that can hide his low bball IQ- it's easy for him to look like he knows what he's doing when he just shoots every time.  No decision making required.

That's not what we need at all, by the way. We need a combo guard who can come off the bench.

No way they bring him back, but I think they should.

He's instant offense off the bench. As the playoffs showed us...THe Celtics go through long stretches without the ability to score. For all Gerald's flaws....he's figured out how to score efficiently now.

Plus..He's a changed man.  ;D

Yeah agreed, I don't have confidence Green can be a role player for a high caliber team.

Gerald Green's role would not to be Kobe Bryant.  I think that the struggle with most of the fans the first time, very similar with the struggle you all had with Avery Bradley, up until March, was with EXPECTATION.  Gerald Green's role would be to score points: something he is very good at.

The idea that NJ is a bad team has nothing to do with Gerald's performance.  In fact, its much harder to score on a bad team, than it is on a good team.

Not to mention, the opposing teams that play defense on you are the same ones who play defense on the championship calibar teams....heh.

Gerald Green would be a welcome addition to the Boston Roster.

Sign his brother Jeff, and we could really have a Green team off the bench.

didnt danny trade gerald? is that not a burned bridge? i know delonte came back after being traded by us, but would gerald?

It's hard to say bridges really burn if Danny traded to get Antoine back in green.
