Picks make no sense. Rondo and Avery are hating these picks right about now. So much for the up tempo game of the future. Perry Jones will probably go to Miami.

I think Danny Ainge just really likes watching 1-man fast breaks.

You are absolutely right. Horrible picks. I have never been more disappointed by a Celtics draft ever.

I hoping there is some method to the madness. It really doesn't make sense with the guards on this team.

I don't think Sullinger was that bad of a pick. Melo on the other hand I hate. I really wanted White or Jones, but the stupid Rockets took them. Then I was high on Arnett Moultrie and hoping we would take him, but then we chose Sullinger :-\

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
It's confusing to me. I can't see Melo getting out and defending Bosh, whereas Moultrie and Jones can both run and get out on defense with their 7 footerish frames...
Not sure what the strategy is here.

I guess they're thinking that we basically are reloading with Melo as starting Center, and Sullenger coming off the bench.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

I thought a lot of the guys we wanted and worked out were gone and we ended up with the scrap heap.   I hope I am wrong.

Drafting for this season? Ugh

sully will be fine. J. Johnson is looking like he is a big part of the puzzle. he is perry jones without the knee issues...

boston needs to address the wing position on FA....they need to deal bass in a S and T

I rather pay Stiemsma 2-3M/yr then waste a draft pick on Melo. What can Melo do that Stiemsma can't?

Please tell me that we made these picks for another team. If we don't re-sign Green, We traded Perk for Fab Melo.

Remember that Melo had very good workouts at the combine.
I'm not sure how many of you guys watched him but I watched the whole thing and his footwork was amazing. He has a very high ceiling and can go out and give us size and strength immediately. Rondo will give him some great looks and easy buckets to get his confidence going too.
If you like you could think of him as project Perkins 2.0 with more height and better footwork.

I think in this thread people are under-rating him so far.

Neither of these guys fit with Roondo and Bradley (and Green if they sign him). The Sullinger pick is okay, but Melo = no way.

IMO the future is looking bright. Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sullinger, JaJuan Johnson. We've got some nice pieces moving forward. Fab Melo on the other hand.....uhhh no.
