He's gone either tonight or at july 1st, if he is really close to Rondo and likes the Celtics he could force his way to Boston right ?

I'm pretty sure the Rockets won't trade lottery picks for anyone except Howard without insurance on extension.

JSmith could opt to become unrestricted FA next year.

I think he will be a Boston Celtic by tomorrow or Sunday the latest.

He can't force it but his agent can really pressure Ferry into accepting Boston's deal if the Celtics are the one team he really wants to play for

There is very little to no chance he is a Celtic before July 11th (after the moratorium).  So I wouldn't hold your breath (yet).

Oh and like to add the Lakers don't have any picks to offer Atlanta.

Unless Atlanta wants to keep their team competitive and not add any rookies, then I understand they would like Gasol over Bass and 21/22.

I don't understand however why the Lakers doesn't want Gasol ? I think Kobe is doing him like he did Shaq, only Gasol is quiet and nothing is reported in the media.

If Jeff Green is resigned and PP and JG are getting the minutes at the 3 and Garnett refuses to play the 5 i really don't see where alot of Josh Smiths minutes come from. He'd have to play the 4 which would force Garnett to be our center which he wouldnt be happy about.

But if Garnett warmed to the idea the Celtics would have an all time great defensive team- Rondo, Bradley, Pierce, Smith, Pietrus, Garnett! I'm drooling at the mouth just thinking about it. Nothing i love more in basketball than elite defense!

Forcing trades is pretty bush league, but after the contracts they gave Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson (9 figures  :o), I wouldn't really blame him for hating the front office there.  Marvin Williams is making like 75% of what he is making. The Hawks should trade for whatever we feel like giving them, because they're not getting anything when he walks.  You think Smith for some white guys to Orlando when Howard is leaving will work?  You think Houston will want him if they can't get other superstars?  Unless LA wants to give Gasol for him, then Boston is the only place that makes sense, even if the offer is terrible

If it happens at all, it won't happen for another two weeks at the earliest.
