According to a source the Cavs are offering Anderson Varejao to lottery picks. Warriors unlikely to do it right now. Rockets are possible.

There are rumors they are trying to get into the top 15, if they can't would you do a AB and #21 for Varajao?

I think Anderson would really be a great piece for this team moving forward and he can run and finish with Rondo.

probably tbh but why would the cavs do it? Seems like its strickly Varejo for a lottery pick. I'd love to have him on this team though

No thanks. Looking towards the future, Bradley is just way more valuable. Varejao is an awesome player, but he's also turning 30 before this season starts. Bradley will play most of the season at 22. They're debatable now in terms of value, but over the next decade? I'll take Bradley.

I wonder if Cleveland is thinking of something along the lines of grabbing MKG at #4 and then jumping back into things to go after a guy like Drummond.

Irving/MKG/Drummond could be a very interesting, young core.

Moot question: salaries don't match.

scratch that. I was thinking yes until i saw that Varejao is almost 30 years old. I thought he was closer to 26. Where did the time go?!

Yep.  I also think it would probably take both of the picks and Bradley, and then I don't know why Boston does that.

Boston should have made a hard play for Varejao at the deadline last year by offering both picks and maybe a future pick and unloading some of the deadweight expiring salary for him (like Wilcox, JO, etc.).

IIRC, I thought Cleveland said they weren't involving AV in any discussions at last year's deadline.

Seems like an about-face from them.

Plus Tristan Thompson.

AV and Bradley only really have value on championship competitors.  Their talents mainly revolve around making good teams better.  I would want AV rebounding and stuff for Irving if I were the Cavs, anyways.  I am not sure AV could really help the Bobcats, in other words.

Agreed. The age difference is a huge factor. Bradley is a stud already with potential to get better as well.

Yeah that's an interesting group.  I want Beal for them but seems like he won't be there at #4 from what's being reported.

NO, AB is still young and Varejao is not worth a lottery pick
