It looks like Jared Sullinger isn't the only big time NBA draft prospect to have medical issues hurt his stock.

Multiple league sources say that NBA team doctors are concerned about a meniscus issue in Baylor forward Perry Jones III's knee.

While opinions vary among NBA doctors on the ramifications of the issue, some teams feel that the knee could be an issue down the road and at some point in the future require surgery. Not all teams have the same degree of alarm, but the concerns have caused Jones' stock to slide from the mid-to-late lottery portion of the draft down into the late teens and early 20s of the round.

Maybe that is why he is slipping on mock drafts but i would still select him at 21

Yeah that would be awesome. I think Pj3 would be perfect running the break with Rondo and getting pushed by kg and Doc.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'd take him in a heartbeat at 21 and probably Sullinger at 22, but wouldn't be very happy about having two guys medically red flagged.

It's funny how he played on that horrid Baylor team with no point guard and a shooting guard who simply did not pass and got critcized for not taking over games. He averaged almost 14 points on his own.
With Doc and KG and Rondo all barking at him he'd be pushed to the brink and to his potential for sure.
God I hope we get our hands on him- could be the steal of the draft.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
The pieces keep on falling.

This should be no question that if he falls on us on 21 that the Celtics should pick him, red flag or not.

Home run or strike out people.

He wants to be a wing, not a PF. That's a problem, but his talent is worth the risk.

I had problems with my meniscus back in high school (good ole days). Speaking from experience, it's a relatively minor surgery and recovery time. Is that enough to really "red flag" PJ3?

Yeah, this reaks of a story leaked by a team hoping PJ3 will fall to them.
