Celtics Interested in Jared Cunningham -- Trying to Acquire 3rd #1?

• Jared Cunningham has become a coveted player at the back end of the first round to early second. The former Oregon State guard shut down his workouts but was in Atlanta for an interview Tuesday. Atlanta, Charlotte and Golden State have a lot of interest. But so too does Boston and the Celtics even have interest in acquiring an third first-round pick to possibly get Cunningham.

Interesting I really like Cunningham. Not at 21-22 but if they can get him at the end of round 1, early 2 perfect.

I think Danny is trying to package our 1st rounders to move up around 15 . If this is true that he want cunnigham in the late 1st then there is no way he is picking anything other than a big if we trade up

I don't know much about this guy. His numbers don't look overly impressive. Swish Scout highlights show him getting a lot of steals, which is nice, and he seems to have the ability to play both guard positions. ... I don't know. Would Danny pick him for further down the line? A Rondo/Bradley backcourt has great potential, and the possibility of being around a long time. Would Cunningham be the third member of the guard rotation?

Or is Danny planning on trading Rondo?

Umm. he is a 6'5" SG from Oregon State he is definitely not a random name he is a consensus top 30 player in this years draft and someone who really impressed at the combine and is moving up draft boards. Not sure how you havent heard of him yet.

Well regardless of whether people have heard of him or not, it is interesting to note that the Celtics could be attempting to acquire an even-later first round pick.

Do you think this means they would get a 3rd and give up cash, future 2nds, and/or a player like Moore? Or does it mean they'd trade down one of their picks?

i havent cuz Oregon State was irrelevant nd couldnt even make the NCAA tournement lol i mean dude didnt stand out that much for me to notice him i kno i said in another thread i want us to use one of our picks for a wing but dis guy is unknown nd would be a waste to trade up for. Maybe i need to watch some film of dude or sumthin but half these guys we interested in didnt have a huge impact in college

Too bad, if true. Moore deserves a real chance; he could be the outside shooter we really need.
