So it's:

Houston trades Dalembert and #14 to Milwaukee for Brockman, Livingston, Leuer, and #12?

Trading up two spots  ???, doesn't really excite me yet.

My gut says that the Rockets are trying to leap frog the Suns to take Terrence Ross.

Interesting the Rockets would take both Brockman and Leuer who are very similar players.

Good job by Milwaukee, I think, if they plan on keeping Dalembert.

Livingston's last year is only guaranteed for $1 million, and Leuer's contract is fully non-guaranteed.

So, for the Rockets, it could be a small increase in next year's payroll (assuming they were going to cut Dalembert loose anyways to clear cap space) in order to move up those two spots in the draft.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Good trade by the Rockets. They opened up space for Dwight Howard, and got someone who can play next to him when Scola leaves via trade.

Jon Brockman is a good end of the bench player, but Jon Leuer is better.

Sounds like the Rockets are positioning themselves for a major trade. Exciting.

Yeah they have to be getting pieces to get Gasol/Howard/Smith.

Houston is furiously trying to move up in the draft.... and everyone knows it. Morey will have to full a premium to land a 5-10 pick.

Lowry & Martin are the other two big trade chips, except no one wants Martin. The next move may be Lowry & 12 for #6.

A little surprised they didn't use Dalembert's partially-guaranteed contract to help land a big fish.

Still have Martin, Scola, Lowry, and the picks to dangle, though. Must be fun to be a Rockets fan, having a GM like Morey.

Or maybe just a smaller trade to get up high enough to nab Andre Drummond.

He has fallen to 9th in Draftexpress' latest rankings.

  • GOT IT!!!
Looks like Houston is indeed trying to move up to get into the lottery to nap Howard or start a complete rebuild.

Nice win-now move for the Bucks. They badly needed some reinforcements in the paint and Dalembert will give them solid service there. Only dropped two spots (which shouldn't be too harmful to their draft choices) and picked up a legitimate starter in the process.

Nice bit of business (in the win-now sense) for Milwaukee.
