Just released today and I was wondering if somebody with insider could post the two rounds for discussion? Please and thank you!

21. Royce White
Analysis: According to sources, White pulled out of all his remaining workouts Thursday and has gone silent. He's not injured, and sources claim he's received a coveted first-round promise from a team. Promises are notoriously hard to pin down, but two sources are pointing in the direction of the Celtics.

As long as coach Doc Rivers can buy into what White is (a ballhandling power forward) and figure out how to play him, he could be a steal at this point in the draft.

Quote
22: Andrew Nicholson
Analysis: Nicholson is another draft sleeper who might really rise with workouts. He's a big stretch 4 who has drawn some comparisons to David West. He would be another welcome addition to the Celtics' summer makeover.

51. Justin Hamilton

The big guy out of LSU didn't put up huge numbers, but he's had tremendous workouts. The Celtics need size wherever they can get it.

Yeah I'm gonna be furious when OKC drafts Fournier and he turns out to be a very capable NBA starter.

I hate that it seems like we aren't even considering Quincy Miller. He's a 19 year old, 6'10 sf, with natural scoring instincts, who was a concensus top 5 recruit, and had a decent freshman season despite recovering from ACL surgery. The rumors suggesting the Lakers like him make me want this kid even more.

As for White, I may as well repeat what I belatedly posted on a main-page thread:

In yesterday’s (?) Minneapolis Star-Tribune, or whatever it is, there was a long article on, and interview with, hometown boy Royce White, in which he basically gushed about how much he wants to play in his hometown Minny with Rubio and Love. (Funny, he didn’t mention Beasley.)

Today, DX has him at #18 to Minny. Maybe Minny thinks White and Love can play together; White has a well-developed rationale why they can play together. That would be three terrific passers.

As for Nicholson, I would really like that pick.  If the Cs are going to keep KG and Ray around in part to pass on a winning culture to the young players, you've got to have young players capable of receiving the transmission and going forward with it once the geezers are gone.  Nicholson by all accounts is a high-BBIQ, high-character guy and a leader.  Plus he can shoot.  Plus he's ready to contribute right away.  He would be an excellent pick, if the Cs do not trade up.

Some analysis of some advanced statistics at draftexpress

-Royce White has the unfortunate distinction of ranking dead last among forward prospects with 0.806 PPP. His poor overall efficiency is due heavily to his likewise last-ranked turnover percentage, as he turns the ball over on a whopping 23.5% of all possessions, which isn't even close to the second worst player at 18.1%. White sees 25% of his possessions come in isolations, which is the highest of everyone, and that certainly doesn't help his turnover rate much. Still, his PPP on both isolations and post ups rank towards the bottom of the pack, and his 0.683 PPS on jumpers ranks dead last. White's oversized role and high portion of shots coming in isolations and post-ups don't help his efficiency much, but his 16 possessions per game was only fifth highest of the 14 players ranked, so it's hard to excuse his efficiencies being as low as they are across the board.

-Besides Anthony Davis, Jared Sullinger and Tyler Zeller, the next more impressive big man in this study is likely Andrew Nicholson. Nicholson shouldered a heavy offensive load for St. Bonaventure (3rd highest of the 26 prospects), but still ranks as the 5th most efficient scorer overall. The fact that he was so effective with his back to the basket (5th best post scorer) and facing the basket (#1 in overall jump-shot attempts, 2nd most efficient shooter at 1.096), and with the ball (#3 in total isolation attempts, #3 in efficiency) is impressive. Nicholson is effective in pretty much every area we looked at, highlighting his extremely high skill-level.

Today's updated draftexpress mock has us drafting Terrence Jones and Quincy Miller. That would be pretty epic.

I think it's good that we're not hearing about him.  He strikes me as a tall (as in small forward) version of what Avery Bradley was two years ago: high potential and undervalued because of injury.  Seems to me like Danny's kind of pick, actually.

Here is what he has for us.  Nothing new in first round but he does take a stab at round to as well.

Pick 21
Boston
Royce White
Position: SF
Height: 6-foot-8
Weight: 261 pounds
Age: 21
School: Iowa State
Analysis: According to sources, White pulled out of all his remaining workouts Thursday and has gone silent. He's not injured, and sources claim he has received a coveted first-round promise from a team. Promises are notoriously hard to pin down, but two sources are pointing in the direction of the Celtics.

Pick 22
Boston (via Clippers)
Andrew Nicholson
Position: PF
Height: 6-foot-10
Weight: 234 pounds
Age: 22
School: St. Bonaventure

Analysis: Nicholson is another draft sleeper who might really rise with workouts. He's a big stretch 4 who has drawn some comparisons to David West. He would be another welcome addition to the Celtics' summer makeover.

Pick 51
Boston Celtics
Justin Hamilton | C | LSU
The big guy out of LSU didn't put up huge numbers, but he's had tremendous workouts. The Celtics need size wherever they can get it.
