The draft talk is really heating up and with the rumors floating the one that sparks my intrest the most is getting houstons 16 pick and somehow adding Dalembert (I feel he would fit in great with this team and I wanted him last year when he was a free agent) So assuming we get in that 16 range who do you want?

My 3 guys:

Terrance Ross
Austin Rivers
Arnett Moultrie

I would give up:
The two firsts
A first and JJ
A first and a future first
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Terrence Ross
Terrence Jones
Jared Sullinger

I would give up #21, and next years first round pick to grab any of the three if possible (depending on who and where they fall).

Since it is a deep draft, I make sure I at least have 2 picks somewhere. Unless a solid vet could be had in trade (i.e. Jefferson/Milsap) using the picks. I could care less about next years first rounder as this team will be in a similar spot it was in this year.  Competing for a ring.

I take a chance on one of those 3 if I'm trading up, and draft whoever is left of these 3 at #22:

Royce White
Moe Harkless
Quincy Miller

A perfect night IMO would be trading up to grab Ross, & drafting White at #22.  If we land Ross or Sullinger + a White, Harkless, or Miller, that's a helluva night as well.

Rondo/Dooling
Bradley/Ross
Pierce/Green/Pietrus
Bass/White/JJ
KG/Stiemsma/Wilcox

Austin Rivers - #21, #22, Brooklyn's 2nd in 2013

Jared Sullinger - #22, future 2nd/cash

Perry Jones 3rd - #21, future 2nd/cash

I think these three guys are the only ones "worth" trading up for.  We are not going to be able to move into the Top 12 with just our 2 1st rounders.

If Austin Rivers were to slide to 13 or lower, I am wondering if there is away for Danny to package both firsts, Brooklyn's 2nd next year (which figures to be early 30's), and maybe another future 2nd if necessary to move up and grab him.  The more he slides, the less we need to trade.  I wouldn't trade 3 firsts here, however, nor would I trade 2 firsts and JJJ...unless Doc really doesn't like JJJ and threatens Danny's life to trade him.

Sullinger, if he is a threat to go off at 17 or earlier, is worthy of losing our 2nd pick.  If he slides past 17, I think Danny should hold off, see who bites on him, and then maybe work out a trade after.

PJ3 is worth the 1st of our picks if he goes in the 16-18 range.  I don't see him falling to the 20's...too much talent and size.

These 3 are all lottery talents, some who use to be Top 5 projections, that are now threats to reach us at 21.  I try to get them if they are slipping but may come off the board a few spots ahead of us.

Under no circumstances should we trade both 1sts for a move up 5 spots or less.

Jared Sullinger or Meyers Leonard = the two firsts or a similar package value wise

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Arnett Moultrie and Tyler Zeller would be a couple. And I'd be willing to give up the 2 first to get either on of them. Or one first, and anybody outside PP, Rondo, Bradley.

Terrence Ross is another. And call me crazy, but I'd be willing to give up 2 1st or a 1st and anybody outside of PP and Rondo for him. Yes, if they ask for Avery, I'd give Avery up to get a shot of Ross.
