The times that I watched the lakers this year (quite a few as I am a celtics fan who lives in so. cal) it seemed like they had some issues with scoring droughts just like the c's. If I am the lakers, I don't know how you give up a way better offensive player when a major issue is scoring points.
I like Noah as an addition to the C's because it will help KG extend his career. Plus Noah is way better than Wilcox, JO, Steamer, JJJ or anyone else that played with KG this year.
But for the lakers, I don't know that it does much other than sheds Gasol's contract. I also can't see the Lakers trading Bynum for Williams. Bynum is kind of a selfish jerk, but if the Lakers could ever get his head on straight he is all star every year.
Does noah move to the 4 to play along side Bynum if he doesn't get traded?
Hmm ... I wonder if LA would trade Pau Gasol for Joakim Noah.
Say they find a way to nab Deron Williams but have to give up Andrew Bynum to do it (not sure LA is willing to give up Bynum for Deron). Would they then trade Pau for Noah?
Pau is most definitely the better short-term option but Noah is much younger and gives them a second star to go alongside Deron to help with their transition into this next era (post-Kobe era) for the Lakers.
