So there is a rumor that the Bulls are have Noah / Deng on the block for draft picks.

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/06/23/report-bulls-considering-moving-joakim-noah-or-luol-deng-for-pick-and-cap-exception/

Call me crazy, but I hope DA is at least on the phone with the bulls to see what it would take to get Noah.  Noah and KG as our starting bigs would be a HUGE improvement over last year.  I know, I know they supposedly don't get along, but I think after a few practices together it could work great.  Who else would be interested in Noah?

Now the real Q is what we would have to give up to get him?  RA + (1) of our 1st rounders?  dunno if that works.

We don't have the picks for it has to be something under top 10 right?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
We can make a trade in principal and complete it after we renounce the rights to our free agents, or sign them to deals that accomedate the trade.

Deng to Golden State for the #7 pIck would be a steal and a half for Golden State.

Noah would be an amazing addition but there is absolutely nothing we have that the bulls would want to give up on Noah for. I mean, 21, 22 rondo pierce or bradley is basically it right?

I honestly don't know enough about the value of Noah to know if he would command a top 10 pick or not?

I think there are a few teams that Noah would be extremely valuable to.  There are a lot of teams that wouldn't have any interest because of his offense limitations.

I just like combining Noah with KG coming back for another year.  Seems like we would have an extremely talented team defensively that might not have the letdowns on D if we could stagger the rest periods for Noah and KG.

We don't have the picks for it has to be something under top 10 right?

I believe RA has been the subject of some Bulls interest.   Maybe a sign and trade w/ RA + (1) of our 1st round picks + someone else?  Dunno.  Maybe I am grasping at straws?

I can't wait for 5 or 10 people on this board to offer up "real" options to obtain Noah and Deng.

One will probably include the Celtics not giving up either of their 1st round picks (because that would just be too much).  But, instead offering up a sign and trade of Allen, JJJ and Boston's 2nd round pick for Noah AND Deng AND D. Rose.

You know, because every GM in the league is either an idiot or a secret Celtic fan.  ;D
We all think we know more than we really do....

I'm just speculating here, but I bet Noah's price tag is a top 15 pick with little or no salary back, or better yet a 1 year contract and a high pick for Boozer/Noah as a pair.

Imagine if New Orleans packaged Rashard Lewis And a future first for Noah/Boozer. Then traded the #10 pick for the PG they want under affordable contract. Maybe say Kyle Lowry.

Lowry/Gordon/?/Boozer/Noah with Davis as a super 6th man.

As good a core as anyone outside of Okaphoma.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
If we somehow get Noah and KG on the same team, we have the greatest defensive team in the last decade.

What makes KG so special is his intensity and how he makes everyone around him better. I believe Noah is the 2nd most intense player in the league. KG + Perkins = Noah. This would be amazing for the Celtics.

If they can somehow agree to 21+22+Ray, my heart would stop.

I didn't know you could do that.. Perhaps we see something like this happen for J-smoove. I'm hoping for something like that to happen. I hate it cause this time of year and trading deadline, I just want to see something happen but then I don't because I love the teams that Danny puts together.

I agree.  A team of:

Rondo / Dooling
Bradley / Wing draft pick / Moore
PP / Green
KG / Wilcox / JJJ
Noah / Steamer

Would be a stellar D team.  The same question comes up though, does this type of team score enough to win games against the top teams?  I think so, but who knows.

You beat me here commish. I think if we want Den then we have to beat GSW to it. Duba are really aggressive in getting a vet SF. We would need to offer more stuff to beat the Dubs.

Off topic:

How cray good would the Warriors be if they stay healthy and they get Deng for the pick/s and Jefferson and/or Beans...? That's one team no one would want to mess with.

No because they still have Boozer  :P
