Marc Stein has reported that Deron Williams will choose between the Dallas Mavericks and the Brooklyn Nets. I think its a lock he goes to Dallas unless Nets gets Howard which is unlikely. Plus  Dallas is his hometown.
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

so if Dwight doesn't get traded to Brooklyn and Deron bolts for Dallas, does this open up things to bring Dwight to Boston?

what other contender could he join? He has said he doesn't want to go to LA and play second fiddle to kobe. He would be the # 1 option here and have a all-star PG to get him the ball and clutch veteran shot makers(PP,KG, maybe Ray ?)

I don't think a team is going to trade a major asset(s) for him next year if they don't know if he will resign. Thats the only way the c's could get him without giving up Rondo.

What would it take to get Howard? Green, Bradley, and 2 1st..They want more than that

I would try to get a third team involved. Its tough hopefully Deron goes to Dallas. If thats the case then Dwight can be ours. Get Smith wait and hope Dwight really doesn't want to go to LA and have our big 3 of Rondo Josh Smith and Dwight

I think Ray Allen might need to be a part of this in terms of a sign and trade to a third team.

Thats good thinking. Might intrigue somebody to say fine we really need Ray and give Orlando something in return. Wow didn't think of it that way!

I'd like to see Portland get involved. They could make an attractive offer coupling LaMarcus Aldridge with Deron Williams for the next 6-8 years. Two lottery picks. Nic Batum. An former and valued teammate in Wes Matthews.

I think the Blazers have a very strong offer there. Better than the uncertainty of Brooklyn and more long term fixtures than an old Dirk Nowitzki led Mavs.

It's a good thing Rondo is such a smart player, because Howard and Smith's combined basketball iq is still less than half of Rondo's.

Here is an out there idea.

Ray, Bass and a 1st to the Lakers

Gasol, Green, JJJ and two 1sts (this years and a future) to Orlando

And something like Howard and JJ Redick to the Celtics.

Yes but on defense they're IQ is pretty good. Oh and rebounding. Yikes! We would go from worst rebounding team to the best over night. Rondo Dwight and Smith wow.

Thats actually not that bad. Even though I would hate to say Ray in laker colors! Something tells me as well that the Lakers don't want to help us get Dwight.

Ray,Bass and a pick in the 20's is going to land you a top 10 big man in the game? right....

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Does Dallas have the cap space for Deron right away? Or do they need to move someone like Odom, or Haywood first?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If it can get the Lakers out of the Cap issue they are soon to face and they like the fit of two perimeter shooters to spread the floor for Kobe and Bynum, maybe.

Probably not.

His best option is Dallas. At least their's another superstar in Dirk, at Dallas, but he's 34yrs and how many years does he have left in the tank.
