Signing and trading a starter on the ECF runner up is nothing?

Bass is leaving for his big contract.

If all else fails, this is one way to get something out of Bass (and give him a big contract, making his agent happy).

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
He's alright butter problem is his work ethic, so no.

I'd rather have my boy Blatche. Both of them lazy as heck, but at least @DrayBaltche has better offensive skills.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I like the idea he's just too expensive. Bobcats should use their   amnesty on this kid and then I'd go after him off waivers.
He needs a fresh start and hasn't gotten a long with Silas (a very demanding coach indeed). Our organization is good at rounding up these kids and getting the best out of them when they've hit a rough patch. He'd be great to pair with Rondo.

Only if the Cats amnestied his contract.
Good idea though, he's got plenty of untapped potential, just think about how good he was for Chicago in 2009.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Good player but his contract is too problematic for a team that is looking at a rebuilding process (built around cap flexibility) in the near future. No deal.

I am a big fan of Tyrus Thomas though. Solid starter to high level backup PF. Quality player.

This is just not true.

Sorry..my bad!  i thought on i was on the Asik thread.   ???  Tyrus is garbage.
Asik actually isn't a terrible defender I'd take him over Tyrus any day

No thank you. He's just not an intelligent basketball player - we finally got rid of locker room distractions when we moved Glen Davis, no need to go out and trade for Mark Blount 2.0

May as well just sign his clone Sean Williams for a fraction of Thomas' salary.
According to Sham Sports, Williams is already signed to a non-gauranteed $916k contract which is essentially a team option.  I definitely see him getting a chance and he just may be as good as Thomas.  I agree that there is no reason to give up anything to get Thomas.  Now if they want to include him in a broader deal that includes the #2 pick (which I doubt they would ever do even for Rondo) then sure, that could be a good deal depending on what else was involved.
