Think about it, we were able to take the heat to 7 games, while OKC couldnt even get past 5. no team has taken this heat team to 7 except us.

We took the heat to 7 games without green, wilcox, bradley, jermaine o'neal. Half of our starters played injured, with Pierce who had a sprained MCL and ray allen had bone spurs, while stiemsma had plantar fascietis.  literally half our team was injured or out in some way.

if we were healthy, we were easily the best team in the nba.

yea if KG watched these chumps raise a trophy tonight you know he will be on the phone with Danny tomorrow saying he wants another shot.

Give me Green, KG,Wilcox, Bradley back, ray and PP recovered, Sign Camby  and draft Royce White and Jeff Taylor (he could guard lebron and wade)

PG: Rondo           / vet min
SG: Bradley         / Ray   (4 mil)   / Moore
SF: PP              / Green(6mil)    / Jeff Taylor
PF: KG     (8 mil)  / White          / JJJ
 C: Camby (5 mil)   / Wilcox        / Steamer

Here we come Miami, we want that championship that should be ours!!!

I'd love to think so, but it's all very circumstantial. I think with a full healthy squad we would've beaten the Heat, but we match up really badly against OKC. I guess we'll just never know

we dont match up bad against OKC. OKC looked extremely lost on defense. they let so many open players. they double lebron and wade, and lebron and wade still got their share, while letting chalmers wide open to score nearly 30 in one of the games, and then let mike miller flirt with ray allen's 3-point finals record. OKC is a bad defensive team, and we would have exploited that

obviously its more complicated to come a conclusion, ad we would never know the true outcome, but thats a glaring thunder hole, and why i think we would have given them a good run. i dont see OKC being better than us.

We can honestly beat the heat of there weren't any bias by the refs.

We were tied for the 3rd (or 4th, depending on how you measure such things) best team in the NBA. Taking the Heat to 7 games in the conference Finals is not how this works.

Or were the Hawks and Cavs better than the Lakers in 2008?

Losing to those refs was like a slap in the face.

[dang] right we were. We were most definitely the second best team in the NBA this season. We took the heat to 7 games, and our guys were hurt.

Ray needed surgery, no Avery Bradley, Pierce had a sprained knee, we were the only team to take the Heat to 7, OKC didn't even compete in these finals.

How would you think the Celtics would have stacked up with the OKC Thunder if they faced them this year in the Finals?

Honestly I don't know who would win
Thunder have no scoring big man at all, and KG would abuse Perk in the post defensively and offensively

Durant is unstoppable though

TP.

The cHeat+the refs is an unstoppable All Star squad. But we still had our chances.

Just because we lost all our regular season games against the Thunder does not mean we will definitely lose to them in the Finals, again it is all about matchup and execution, we all thought that the Thunder would beat the cHEAT but look how that end up, the Thunder could not adjust and the Heat exploited the fact that the Thunder could not guard the perimeter.

We dragged the Heat to a game 7, we actually should have beat them 4-2 had game 2 been officiated properly, I am definitely of the opinion and Danny certainly feels so as well that we can beat the Heat, maybe the match up that we could most definitely lose is to the BULLS, we were able to dodge a bullet with Rose going down, so in the end, its all about the match ups, had Rose been fine, maybe them too could give Lebron and the Heat a lot of problems.

OKC looked pretty much unstoppable up til the western finals. They choked in the big stage. I'd like to look at it as simple as that. If we faced them during the finals, I honestly think the C's would have had a very good chance of winning it all. OKC had a lot of miscues due to inexperience. However, it's a "failure" like this that would make them a lot scarier next season in my opinion.
