If the Celtics were to use their picks on Jared Sullinger (hoping he falls), Quincy Miller (a bit of a reach but potential galore), and Jae Crowder (a poor man's Kenneth Faried?), would you be happy?

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

I'd be happy, but I try not to get too invested in the draft when you're picking low like the C's.

We will probably end up with players I don't know much about yet.

Yeah I agree with Faf. No one thought Jajuan Johnson was our pick. I had never even heard of him. No one projected Giddens either.

I don't think guys drop as low as Ford suggest. I would love Sullinger and Miller, but I think we end up getting a guy no one has even considered.

I'm not sure about Crowder getting to us or him having a big career in the NBA.  Isn't he a PF?  He is 6'4" from the combine measurements.  We have guys with 6 inches on him that need run at that spot.

I think we'll make 1 BPA pick from the guys who might drop or might not (Perry Jones, Moultrie, Ross, etc..), one 'need pick', maybe Fab Melo or someone..a big athletic body, and one 'solid pick' on a guy who can produce right away but has a low ceiling. The Harangody.

I'd be happy from the perspective that we wouldn't have picked Fab Melo but I'd hope that some other players with better futures would be available and selected instead.  Until the 'red flag' I'd have been happy with Sullinger -- now, I'm concerned about adding yet another player with health issues.

I'd love one sure bet and one upside guy like that. I wouldn't be shocked if we picked Taylor from Vandy since he can play great defense. I think in the second round we go international, reporters have said that we don't want to bring in two rookies, so I'm doubting we draft 3.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If Sullinger and Miller fell to us, I would be ecstatic.  Those two along with our other "rookie" JJJ are a freak show in a good way, any of them could shoot over anybody guarding them.  Our most likely back up picks to Miller are Royce White and Andrew Nicholson, so I think we're in good shape.  I would honestly rather have any of those 4 than the people being projected 10-20 except for Moultrie.  I am just not buying Jeremy Lamb, Rivers Jr., T-Zell or Kendal Marshall

ESPN lists Crowder as a 6'7" small forward with an NBA body and a great motor -- sounds good to me. If he can be a poor man's combo of Faried/Kahwi Leonard, sign me up. Hopefully he falls to us. In response to Indeed Proceed's proclamation that our second rounders are usually the guys that contribute right away, I can definitely see Crowder stepping in as an energetic defensive/rebounding presence on the wing.

And while I'd normally agree with you guys about the Celtics out of the blue tendencies on draft day, Miller and Sullinger seem to be just the type that the Celtics have selected in the past. Loads of talent/potential but because of injuries, attitude problems or letdown freshman/sophomore years they end up falling to us and Danny scoops them up. Will we draft them? I have no idea. Will they be success stories or maybe even all-stars? No one knows that, but they seem like great picks for where we're positioned. Sullinger especially and I think we have an excellent shot at nabbing Miller at 21/22. Remember, while these picks are in the 20s they're still two of the highest picks we've had since Garnett got here. If Danny doesn't trade them away these ones might be a little more predictable as it's not like we're picking at 28/29/30 and Danny reaches into the second round (see: Giddens).

I would absolutely love that!! Crowder is a stud, despite his height. I believe he can play SF in the NBA. He is a GREAT rebounder and that translates really well to the professional basketball. He is a tenacious defender. A good slasher. Not a great shooter, but he can SCORE. To me...Crowder is THE steal of this entire draft.

I really don't know Miller's game. But i'm reading a lot of positives about him. And a buy a young, scorer 6'9 SF anyday of the week. And twice on sundays!

I see similarities between Sulinger and Crowder: undersized for the positions they play...not really great athletes...but they cna play!! In both ways!

So...Yes. I would be very, very, very happy if our beloved Celtics draft these guys.

Rondo, Bradley, Crowder, Miller and Sulinger??

Hell yeah!!

This would be a very good day at the draft!

Substitute Harkless for Miller and it becomes a great day for me.

Can you tell I am liking Harkless a whole lot??
