Here and here.  Click to read their reasoning, but it generally boils down to athleticism and inefficient volume scoring are overrated.

10. Terrence Jones
9. Jeremy Lamb
8. Quincy Miller
7. Tyshawn Taylor
6. Andre Drummond
5. Tony Wroten
4. Perry Jones
3. Marquis Teague
2. Austin Rivers
1. Harrison Barnes

Guys they suggest drafting instead: Scott Machado, Jesse Sanders, Tyler Zeller, Will Barton, Marcus Denmon, John Jenkins, Kevin Jones, Jae Crowder, Jared Sullinger

In the case of Barnes (who they pretty much describe as- strengths: athleticism, size, can score from anywhere - weaknesses: isn't any good), the suggestion is "Throw a dart at your draft board and it’s probably better."

I actually agree with a lot of the names on this list.

Namely Barnes, Rivers, P. Jones, and Drummond.

Love the suggestion of John Jenkins

He's definitely underrated and shouldn't be passed up if we keep our 2 picks

Fab Melo and Jenkins would satisfy me as a fan
Can't stop, Rondo!

Overrated only in terms of production.  Most of these guys are drafted on potential.  I don't see the hype behind Zeller.  I do think Sullinger, Jenkins and Machado are vastly underrated.  If we can get 2 of Sullinger(w/ red-flag), Jenkins, Jeff Taylor and Royce White and pick up Sacre or Machado in the second I would be ecstatic.

Denmon I think will be a player.

I'm down for Will Barton.  The weird thing is he has athleticism and some volume scoring ability.

Call me crazy, but I'm hoping that people keep thinking Perry Jones is overrated and he drops to the low 20s.

Overrated only in terms of production.  Most of these guys are drafted on potential.

One of the points that the website likes to hammer is that potential is often an overestimated quality and that teams sometimes underestimate the ability of players with non-elite athleticism to translate their good college production into NBA usefulness.

Jeremy Lamb is straight up insane. Freak of nature athleticism, terrific shooting, pretty good defense. I don't know how many of you watched a lot of UConn games last year, but I did. Lamb is a BEAST. Drummond, on the other hand (same team if you didn't know), is a project.

Can't we just bring Gerald Green back?

That's not crazy at all, if we could land him and not have to give anything up I'd do backflips

Understood, but potential is more important in the NBA because it's much harder to be productive against the elite.  Very difficult to find all-stars who are nonathletic and productive.
In the rarest case one can miss out on Pierce or Love.  That's why generally potential in the first round, production in second.

Pretty much my opinion of Barnes and why some of the "trade Pierce for a pick to get Barnes" threads on this board are insane enough to drive me to a two-week bender.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

I'm not a huge fan of Wages of Wins, but that list seems fairly solid in my mind.  There's a lot of risk there.

NBA rules favor athleticism more than they used to. College production is great, but against NBA playoff teams, you need both skill and athleticism.

These guys were probably high on Jimmer Fredette, because he was "proven."

I hope Perry Jones gets overrated right into the Celtics' lap too although it wouldn't be too great for him personally.  I highly doubt it because once you get past 10 or so, his potential and present skill level is too good to pass up on.

Yeah he wasn't as good at Baylor as many thought he would be but comparing him to Villanueva or Anthony Randolph like some have is really overblowing any concerns.  He's not the dumb player that Villanueva is; actually I like his intelligence on the court and unlike Randolph, he can actually shoot.
