Re: Melo...if you're planning on beating the Heat over the next few years, you need to keep LeBron and Wade from getting to the rim.  Melo - if he pans out - will do that.

That may be what Danny was thinking.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Buy a pick and Take Quincy Miller!!!

I'd be satisfied by this.

melo was the best post defender in the draft, right next to anthony davis. you guys are clueless.

someone please convince me that melo famously low basketball IQ will allow him to learn doc's complex defensive schemes. melo was ruled academically ineligible at a basketball school.

from what i saw of him, his primary defensive talent was to camp out under the basket and be tall. SU played zone almost all the time.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I am pretty happy with our picks. I was depressed after White and Nicholson were gone but IMO Sullinger is going to be a steal of this draft. Top 5-10 talent at 21.

I don't know much about Melo, but he is a legit 7 footer, defensive minded with upside.

If Moultrie falls out 1st round I will LOL

Danny, do something!!!!
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

C's need athletic bigs that can run with Rondo. They got neither of those with those two picks.

Lobs will be at a premium with his size and length.

These are exactly the types of guys we don't need with Rondo.  Unathletic guys who can't jump.   I hope I am wrong on these guys though.   I went into the evening with a lot of hope and turned the TV after the picks.

When does the Let's Trade Melo thread start?

Come on guys, the dude is a great defender and in the East we need one. It is worth the pick.
