Long time reader first real post ever.

I know that there has been a lot of talk about who the Celtics could get in the draft or through free agency, but I just do not know how they are going to fit everyone on the roster.

I would like to see them bring everyone back and go for another run and add a few more pieces, but unfortunately I think that might require getting rid of a couple of pieces.

The way I see it playing out just looking at roster spots and not about money being spent on players.

Starters
Rondo
Bradley
Pierce
Garnett
FA Big man(pf or c really, could even be Bass back with the team)

Bench Players
6. Ray Allen - I think they need that offensive fire power off of the bench from him.
7. Jeff Green- Could back up both the SF and PF spot.
8. Another Big man - Could be Wilcox I would rather Stiemsma not be the first big man off the bench next year.
9. Back-up point guard - Ideally a vetwho can at least set up the offense a little better than Dooling.
10. Big Man - This is where I would be okay with Stiemsma being in the rotation

Then you have the 5 young guys in Johnson, Moore and three rookies that we draft this year.

This is why I can see Danny packaging a couple of the picks to move up in the draft or putting Johnson and Moore in a trade as well.  I would rather see someone like Pietrus although he did not impress me too mcuh last year on the roster and just looking at spots I do not know if there is enough room for him with the rookies and Johnson and Moore returning.

Sorry for the long post just wanted to see your thoughts on how we could fill out this roster wwith potentially 5 rookies/sophomores being on the team.

Thanks

I have a feeling if we don't take advantage of this draft,we wil regret it in the long run. but anways i don't  mind your roster i just say hell no to pietrus. To be honest i  was never a fan of green but i guess he will do alright

Just gave you your first TP...

One option for our second rd pick is the "draft and stash", like we did with Semih. That way we allow a young euro to develop overseas without tying up a roster spot.

Well thought out, I've reasoned along the same lines myself.  With the amount of our free agents who have expressed desire to return here it's hard to make space.
Rondo, Ray, Paul, KG, Bradley, Green, Bass, Moore, Johnson, Pietrus, Wilcox, Dooling, Daniels, Pavlovic, Williams, Hollins, 2 first rounders and a second round pick.  Completely ignoring outside FA's and Trades we have 19 pieces to build a team out of.
