I hope they do sign athletic players like Dorsey and Weems, cheaper than Bass for sure. And Green back would we great for our bench.

He looks like a Howard clone too.

You mean Ray Lewis with a basketball and the Greek defensive player of the year?

He sucks.
Celtics fan in Houston.

At Memphis he was an absolute beast. I bet he could grab lots of boards . .. which would be good.

I love the guy's motor, and I see nothing wrong with giving a guy with his commitment to defense and rebounding a chance. We saw the impact Reggie Evans could have on a game when he's surrounded with talent, I think you could get similar production from Dorsey.

Its still shocking how little Jordan progressed this year to the point where Reggie Evans was a clear defensive upgrade over him in the playoffs....

As Celticsblog's resident Deandre Jordan superfan, even I would have to agree with that. To me, hiring Nate McMillan is a no brainer for them - I'd like to see if he could improve with a real coach.

I am a fan of Dorsey. I'd love to bring him in next season.

I wanted him last year. I thought his elite rebounding and solid defense (PF) would have been a valuable skill-set to have coming off the bench. I still think Dorsey and Garnett would work very well together.

KG made Ryan Hollins somewhat manageable, though still scary, in the playoffs.

Hard to seem him not working with anyone....

He would be a nice camp invite. I always thought he would carve out a Reggie Evans like NBA career. Physical bigs are always a nice thing to have at the end of a bench.

It seems like every off-season the Celtics work out Joey Dorsey.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I'll take Joey Dorsey on my side in a street fight, and I'll take him on my basketball team if I've got the worst rebounding team in the entire league too.

I truly believe that if Reggie Evans came to Boston instead fot he Clippers as a minvet, the Cs would still be playing.  They desperately need interior toughness, and Dorsey for cheap dollars can provide that.

Would you rather have a 6 8 big baby, leon powe, or joe dorsey, or a 7 foot howard, steasmah, or even hollins...

I go with the legit 7 footer everytime. even 2 inches makes a big difference in the nba.

Obviously I would take Howard, even if he were only 6'8" tall.  I'd take a healthy Leon Powe or healthy BBD over Hollins and Steamer any day of the week.
