As draft day nears I really feel this is a guy Danny is trying to trade up for. He's projected to go late lottery or just outside the lottery which is probably exactly where our two picks would get us. I truly believe he has star potential and reminds me a little of Lamarcus Aldrige. He helps Boston in some of their biggest needs, size, athleticism, scoring, and his rebounding which is probably his biggest calling card. Ecspecially on the offensive glass.

He played 3 years in college and we know danny likes the "seasoned" guys. Arnett has probably been the player I have been following the closest and really keeping my fingers crossed he's wearing green next year!

Danny likes his "seasoned" guys in the second round.  They're also often Player of the Year in their conferences and sometimes All-Americans who, for various shortcomings, fell to the second.  I'm not saying he wouldn't trade up for Moultrie but it's not because Moultrie fits a pattern.

Moultrie's sort of like JaJuan except he rebounded better in college (although when you're playing next to someone who expends as little effort as Renardo Sidney, you're going to get all the rebounding opportunities you can handle), is stronger and I think a more fluid, dynamic athlete.  He was a much worse shotblocker though.

I wouldn't mind Moultrie but I'm hoping for something like Quincy Miller and Will Barton myself.  Both these guys, if they get stronger, could be the starting SG and SF of the future.  They both have very well-rounded games.

I love both miller and barton as prospects and believe they are bother worth rolling the dice on but I would be very hesitant to use the 21 and 22 picks on them..not to mention they will both most likely slip to the 2nd round

The good news is several slightly more flawed versions of Will Barton should be sitting there at 51. Somebody who can play a backup role to Bradley with more size than E'twan Moore.

Moultrie is an interesting option.  Very good length and rebounding.  He also finishes above the rim quite a bit, making him a good receiving target for Rondo.  The only real questionmark is his defense and strength.  Can he bulk up and get stronger to handle NBA big men?  If he can do that without losing signficant quickness, there are offensive aspects of his game that remind me of KG - in particular the appearance of good range on his jumpshot.

I like his  'ATTITUDE" you gotta have a "BRING IT" personality in the NBA....ah la PP and KG .   If you don't think your the man or can play , then you'll get trampled on in the NBA.

I can DIG this dude...seems like a young KG.   Maybe he'll put on 25 pounds and get his respect.  Seems motivated  now  ., doesn't he?

I'll take him over JJJ .

This guy is my binky in this draft.  would love to get him but I've been seeing his stock continue to rise with each mock -- went from available at our picks to high-mid teens.

would love to get him but I wouldn't move both picks to get him.  I think Danny's got a shot to pick up 2 solid players.  I'm always of the opinion that if you can get 2 good players instead of 1, get 2-->only move 2 players for 1 player if that 1 player is significantly better.

He's got the same cluelessness about defensive rotations as JJJ apparently has. Not sure Doc and Danny would be high on another guy like that.

wow. the last part of the video about his ability to work with coaches and his behavior on the court when things dont go his way....sobering stuff. maybe they picked out the only incidents such as those. but i am sure that ainge will look carefully at his approach to the game.

i guess questions such as those are why a player with his physical ability has dropped in the draft.

I don't know what I think of him.  I like his upside - a big with his size, athleticism and skillset is hard to find.  I like his ability to create his own shot (which is the reason why I don't agree with the Humphries comp in the video), although he doesn't seem comfortable in the post - more of a faceup big and therefore probably more of a PF than a C in the future.

I have no idea if he could develop as a shot-altering presence around the rim.  He seems to have the physical tools for it, but does he have the intelligence and the motor?  How much of his deficiency in this area is coaching, and how much is his own shortcomings?

I don't care about the 'calling teammates out' thing that they mentioned in closing - I'd lose patience with Renardo Sidney too.  I do care about the bad body language, as that can lead to free points which should never happen.

He has the upside of a starter in the league, and a good one at that.  I think PF is his natural position, since it covers more of his weaknesses - his poor help defense isn't quite as crippling as it would be if he were a center, and he'd be an average rebounder for a C but a very good one at PF.  Probably somewhat less of a scoring threat at forward, but I'd take that tradeoff.

I'd pick him if he falls to us, but I wouldn't trade up for him.  I just see him as one of those guys who sits on the bench because he doesn't pick up the defensive rotations quickly enough.  Good long-term project (and there is certainly a lot to work with there), but I think he'll hurt as much as he helps if he sees the court immediately.

So does he have a promise from Dallas at 17?  If so, that would explain Danny looking to move up 5 or 6 places in the draft.
