Someone please explain this to me if I am wrong, but I have heard a LOT of proposals out there of us "trading" Jeff Green...to Sacramento, to Charlotte, to whoever as part of deals.  Since Jeff is an unrestricted free agent, wouldn't he have to AGREE to a contract and agree to be moved to said team in order for this to work, and if so, why in the world would he ever agree to go to Sactown or Charlotte, or any other poor franchise?

Just wanted clarification because I just don't get why people continually throw out his name as a potential tradeable asset.  He's only a tradeable asset if its a destination and contract he is happy with (say if he wanted to play for Houston, and we signed and dealt him for Luis Scola because Houston wanted to clear some cap space, that's fine, but we can't just go ahead and deal him for anyone without his approval)

Yeah, he would have to agree to a sign-and-trade, and that can't happen until early July (i.e., after the draft).

That is all true.  But we can definitely trade him as part of a sign-and-trade.

If Jeff Green ever does get traded by us my guess is that it will be during next year.
