For what it is worth:

He says KG is coming back.  Ray is gone.  We sign Jeff Green (and Wilcox), keep the 2 picks, bring in a vet minimum guy like Marcus Camby and go after it one more time.

Can't say I disagree with him.

He's summed up conventional wisdom (and the most likely general scenario) nicely.

But who's your starting 4?  I don't think it's Bass, I think Green or Wilcox would be a mistake to start there, and I think Danny uses his savings from KG, Ray and Bass to bring in a legitimate 4.

I think we talk to Bass about re-signing but then add some of the following guys to start or compete with Bass.
1. Hickson
2. Ilyasova
3. Humphries
4. Beasley
5. B. Lopez
6. R. Lopez
7. A Randolph
8. G. Wallace
9. Landry
10. Brand
11. Jameson
12. Odom
13. D. Arthur
14. I. Mahinmi
15. Asik
16. Kaman
17. Camby
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I like how Stephen A. says they have enough cap space to go after a big time free agent.

Like who? All the best guys will after next season.

We technically do...of course, this class turned out to be pretty weak, which is why short-term deals for KG (and maybe Ray and others) aren't a bad idea. That way, we'll have plenty of cap space again in a year or two.

Yeah exactly.  Danny is too dumb to do that and I'm a big fan of the proposed Simmons plan.  We can still contend and be set up for next year.

Yea, clearly Stephen A hasen't seen this years list of free agents lol

Im not sure how I feel about Camby, the dude is ancient but if its for a vets minimum I guess I wouldn't mind

Bass has had a great season, he can score easy. If not return to Boston, I'd like Marcus Camby, a veteran to the bench, also A. Randolph, A. Jamison (for me a priority), Kaman.

Ainge needs to strengthen the bench, on Ray Allen, I still think he should continue in Boston, Ray is the best shooter in the league, he should stay in and retire Celtics with Pierce and KG in Boston.

They also say that before Green, I would resign to Bass, Jeff Green gives me a lot of doubts about his fitness and as a player.

Stephen A. is mostly a blow-hard who simply likes to hear himself exclaim things.

Best part of the video was Bill saying Stephen A. looked rattled.

I love people standing up to Stephen A.

Pretty exhaustive list.  I think Bass will be looking for too rich a longer-term commitment for the C's.  My hope is Ilyasova.

Who was Denver's starting 4 this year?  You have to see how things play out in the draft and in FA first before we project who is starting.

Maybe JJJ comes back with 15 more lbs and he is our PF.  Maybe we get lucky in the draft.  Maybe we trade for one.  Maybe we resign Bass, or Wilcox, or both.  Or Jeff Green. Or we get a C and start KG at PF.  Maybe Perk gets amnestied and comes back to Boston. Maybe Stiemer gets healthy and dominates for the US Select team.  Maybe I am crazy.  Maybe Fab Melo is not a bust.  Maybe another vet comes here on the min and can start for us.

Who knows?

How is that Danny's fault? The biggest free agents for next offseason were supposed to be free agents this offseason, then improbably decided to keep their contracts in place. At this point last offseason, no one expected Chris Paul and Howard to decide to stay on their contract for one more year.

This is part of being an NBA gm. You have to gamble and make decisions without having the full picture in hand, based on probabilities.

Huh?  I'm not saying anything is Ainge's fault, I'm saying he is too smart to just spend money on mediocre free agents this year and he will wait til next year when there are high quality free agents.

As a starting PF or C, I'd be interested in signing any of those guys if Bass leaves.  Bass is on the list too.
