ok -- I'm confused.  the subject says I'm up but when I open up the thread, it's saying SOFU's up.

what's up?

You're up.
swell.

Here goes.

For my last pick -- my my wildcard.  I'm picking the ultimate of picks.

I select -- The Omniverse.  This universe and all variations.

That's right.  I did it.  You and all your picks are mine! mine!  MINE I TELL YOU!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

 8)

Meh, not impressed. Nobody can control the omniverse.

Its like saying you own the Atlantic Ocean, and then telling it to sit, and stay.

Sorry bro, water's water.
not looking to control -- just use it in this draft.  don't need to control the Atlantic -- just use it to use your analogy

Bear is better than the Universe times infinity.

With Bear being part of the omniverse, the ominverse is at least as good as bear   ;D

I don't know a lot of US Olympic Gold Medalist. SO (i believe) took who was to be my pick. So I will select Lindsey Vonn instead, because she's tough and hot.

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine

Infinity is what the omniverse is all about my friend.

besides, as a Kings fan (and I freely admit I'm not a hardcore hockey fan but this is a small consolation for following them since the days of Dionne/Simmer/Taylor and then the Gretzky experiment), I don't recognize any theories the bear is better than anything  ;)

For my final pick I have the Myhical Creature/Being category.

Now, many people are familiar with the the Jewish people's great contributions to humanities for millennium; the first alphabet, the concept of monotheism, motherly guilt, bagels, and Mel Brooks to name a few.

"Oy vay", you say,  "I'm not impressed"?

Welllllll...The Jews are also responsible for the first true Superhero.  Yes folks, with a little shaping of some mud and a few secret words of Kaballah, you have yourself a goliath defender of the oppressed....

THE GOLEM

The Golem of Prague

Quote
The most famous golem narrative involves Judah Loew ben Bezalel the late 16th century chief rabbi of Prague known as the Maharal, who reportedly created a golem to defend the Prague ghetto from anti-Semitic attacks.

Depending on the version of the legend, under Rudolf II, the Holy Roman Emperor, the Jews in Prague were to be either expelled or killed. To protect the Jewish community the rabbi constructed the Golem out of clay from the banks of the Vltava river and brought it to life through rituals and Hebrew incantations. As this golem grew it became increasingly violent, killing gentiles and spreading fear.

The Emperor begged Rabbi Loew to destroy the Golem, promising to stop the persecution of the Jews. To deactivate the Golem, the rabbi rubbed out the first letter of the word "emet" (truth or reality) from the creature's forehead leaving the Hebrew word "met", meaning death. The Emperor understood that the Golem's body, stored in the attic genizah of the Old New Synagogue, would be restored to life again if needed. Accordingly, the body of Rabbi Loew's golem still lies in the synagogue's attic.

ps - that's Golem, not Gollum (aka Smeagol, froggy ring bearer guy from the Hobbit)
Yup

And after Bill Murray charges in and leads the army that belittles your petty team, Jack Kirby, the best comic illustrator of all time, will sit down amongst the wreckage of your life, and draw. And he'll tell the tale of your doom with colored pencils and sweat.

I considered a lot of artists, but I think I've decided on the right one.

Christy Brown.  Among painters with cerebral policy who paint exclusively with their left feet, he's far and away the best.

Pfftt...Overrated talent.

His fame is more than likely due to poor/lazy scouting by the art community.  There have to be a plethora of talented left footers out there.
