who is up?  the thread title says yoki til 1230.  it is now about 230, that mean roy is about to be up?

There are no hard fast schedules.  If an hour or more has passed someone can initiate a pass and that person can pick later.

Sensing some stress here.  This is to be a stress free endeavor.

no stress on my end.  just sharing my opinion and supporting why.  like i said, whatever is decided, i will respect

Meant more about the schedule.  You're as free as anyone to push the schedule along.  It's open ended.

As far as your opinions go, unless something is outlandishly off target we can let things slide in this draft.

In personal defense of the one selection of mine in question isn't saying "Jam Master Jay isn't a rapper, he's a DJ", a little like saying "Rajon Rondo isn't basketball player, he's a point guard"?

i hear u, but i disagree.  jam master jay never rapped.

Right, but he was part of a rap band.

And thus a rapper.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jam_Master_Jay

he was in a rap group but never rapped.  thats the point im trying to make.  he was a dj in the group.  never rapped.

again, if someone can find me a song where he actually rapped, i will admit im wrong and say the pick is appropriate

Pretty sure it was a joke

yet the entire page talks about him as a dj.  and under occupation, it says "disc jockey and prodcuer"

again, find me one song he rapped on and i will retract my disagreement

I think the point is you don't have to rap to be a rapper.  When I think of rap I think of Run DMC.  And when I think of Run DMC I think of JMJ.
Yup

??? (at least walter payton rapped on a song.  i dont think jmj ever did that)

like i said, whatever is decided, i will respect.

just wanted to voice my opinion about how some picks dont legitimately fit their respective category.  when doing that, i have to defend my point thru discussion.

Call me crazy, but I think its safe to classify Jam Master Jay a rapper if you're willing to allow Hulk Hogan and Walter Payton be classified that way. Again, especially when every online encyclopedias opening sentence defines him that way.

I'm an outsider on this draft but just from observation, isn't this supposed to be the "fun, laidback, non-serious" draft on this blog?  Isn't there a bit of strife and nitpicking here?

as an insider, im just saying why i dont think certain picks apply.  when doing that, u have to back ur stance.

i have been civil and explained my reasons and have said all along, i will respect whatever is decided.  no strife or nitpicking, just sharing my opinion and asking legit questions, as it could impact my future picks

in the interest of the draft, i wont discuss this anymore, especially since im debating a mod and now an outsider mod is getting involved in the discussion.  i dont need issues with the mods.

if anyone wants to discuss my stance, i ask you pm me and not do it in the thread.

thx
