Is there any possibility that the Celtics get to Harden?

James Harden is an all star for me, now one of the best players in the league, and Oklahoma will decide between Ibaka and Harden.

The problem is that Harden will have offers from all the teams in the league.

Its the fact that OKC has 4 young players who will be asking for big big money that's the issue.

And this is my beef.

To me, it just really sucks that a team drafts really well and might not be able to keep those players together.  That just really bothers me.

But they have been for a while.  KD was drafted 5 years ago right?  I mean 99% of the league would love to have the problem that OKC does, they have too many budding superstars
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

The owners wanted to keep salaries down and spread out the talent. OKC can still pay them if they want to, but the players signed on to the deal after all.

Yeah, everyone wants 2 or 3 max level talents and then have to figure it out.

If they get Thomas Robinson from this, they'll be going to the Finals a lot more these next couple years. If they get Jeremy Lamb and Sullinger from this, they'll be going to the Finals a lot more these next couple years. And if they stay how they are, they'll be going to the Finals a lot more these next couple years. Sam Presti is a genius.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Yeah people talk about three stars but that's not really thecae as far okc competing. Most perennial contenders have always been built around two franchise level superstars or one franchise level superstar and two all stars.

The spurs, celtics, and even mavs were in the latter. But look at the Kobe and Shaquille lakers. Two franchise guys and role players. The heat are honestly that too with wade and James. They were basically that with wade and Shaquille. Pau and kobe were that in 2008-10. With Russ and kd the thunder have two franchise caliber players. Those guys aren't close to their primes. Moving harden for a talented rookie or two won't stop them from remaining contenders.

LOL at Presti, who isn't going to win a title this year. Saw that pretty clearly last night.

I'm hoping he's too scared to walk away from the idiotic deal he gave Perkins, signs Harden and walks away from Ibaka. I'd LOVE to make a run at Ibaka.

The reality, though, is clear: Perkins is outta there next year and they're going to resign Harden and Ibaka, as they should. Anything else - unless he can land a valuable lottery pick - is another Sam Presti fleecing.
