He had a knee injury in his senior year of high school.  He's still recovering his athleticism.

This guy just looks like he will fill it up in the NBA, barring injury. Am I wrong to think he could be a Bonzi Wells type headcase though?? I know he was a prima donna in HS. I guess if there's any coach to corral him, itd be Doc.

We pick these guys, JJJ gets pushed to the end of the bench more. SMH.

Pick a Center and a wing.

Yeah I see way too much similarity between these players and JJJ.  Particularly Nicholson.

Jeff Green (assuming he re-ups) is our Pierce backup and replacement if signed long term.  He has proven he is an NBA SF who can shift to the PF if need be.

If we draft a PF, it has to be a banger and rebounder.  Super athletic, more defense than offense.

But I would prefer a scorer at the 2 and a rebounder/defender at the 5 out of the draft.

Anyone we get in the 20s is going to have some flaws.   I am hoping that some team takes a Euro plunge and a prospect falls to us.   I have heard less about the Euros this year than previous years.   But one can always hope.

If they are both on the board I would be fine with the Cs taking both. They are very different players Miller is a 3/4 Nicholson a 4/5.

If Bass departs as expected, the case for drafting Nicholson improves, as does the case for adding both.

At the moment I'd still draft Miller and Melo, but Nicholson and White are looking better today with Bass testing free agency.

nicholson easily. Miller was horrid down the stretch. It could of been due his injury flaring up again. Its a concern either way.

Nicholson just kept getting better and better. Is a really confident looking player.

Also with great pre draft workouts, rumor has it , he could go as high as 8th to the raptors. Phoenix with no viable SF next year, are also said to be really interested.

Don't think he will be around when we come to pick.

"Also with great pre draft workouts, rumor has it , he could go as high as 8th to the raptors."

He's Canadian, from Ontario, right near Toronto.

It seems like he played like a warrior the 2nd half of his senior season, but he'll only get as many minutes as he can play like a warrior against bigger, stronger, and more athletic 4's and 5's.

If he had Garnett's mentality, he could be a decent starter. Maybe if Garnett mentors him next year it could be a good thing.

I'd still rather draft Miller, who could possibly replace Pierce in stride in 2-3 years, and give Pierce breaks while replacing his offensive role.

Having a small forward that long will be better for the Celtics rebounding woes, than will an undersized and unremarkable rebounder at power forward.

Miller should be able to play good deny defense with his length and increasing strength. With Rondo and Bradley playing pressure defense on the ball and the other wing, the Celtics might be ripe for creating lots of turnovers.

Harkless would be even better in that defensive role.

Miller has amazing length and is a natural scorer.  Just watch him, it is effortless.  He has pretty good handles for a 3 as well.  What does concern me is his lack of strength and lateral quickness on Defense.  I can see athletic 3's blowing by him easily at the NBA level.  Now if he was injured when the tape showing him getting abused defensively, that's another matter.  The injury puts a cloud over what exactly is Miller's true athleticism?

Miller's still only 19--he'll fill out and get stronger.

i only wonder about miller's knee.  personally, i've been touting a nicholson/taylor draft but i guess a lot depends on who drops and if danny moves up.  i wouldn't be unhappy with two of these:  white, harkeless, taylor, nicholson, melo, preferably not two of the same type though.

Q. Miller is the guy I want most in this draft.

If we can get either Miller or Harkless I will be thrilled, I feel they both are young and have a lot of potential.

With our second pick I would prefer a more athletic player to battle the Heat/Thunder or whoever we have to get through to win a finals.  I don't think Nicholson is that guy, he would get overwhelmed athletically by most of the best players in the league.

I do really like Orlando Johnson and think he could be a poor mans D Wade.  Good size handle and shooting ability, really long arms and NBA body but not sure we need a SG at this point.

I agree about Miller and Harkless.

I was thinking, Nicholson and Taylor also. That would be ideal

Starting lineup a in year or two

Stiesma - Decent centre with good blocking skills.

Nicholson - efficient scorer. Can shoot threes. Good blocking skills

Taylor - Defence is strong suit. Can hammer it on the fast break, shoot jumpers pretty good. Game offensively still developing

Bradley

Rondo

We would have a really good defensive team makeup. You got three good perimeter defenders in Rondo, Bradley, Taylor (also fast break waiting to happen), plus if you get past these guys, now have to deal with blocking of Stiesma and Nicholson.

Nicholson would be our go to guy for scoring.
