Word is that Charlotte is shopping the 2nd overall pick. They want multiple picks and a player. And by the way that team is, they are better off trading that #2 pick and getting more picks and players. Be hard to get a free agent to go there. Anyway, U know Danny may make a phone call. Probably do a sign and trade with Jeff Green or Brandon Bass AND #21 and #22 pick would do it. Lets say the Celtics get the #2 pick, who would u draft...
Andre Drummond?
Thomas Robinson?
Bradley Beal?
MKG?
or someone else?
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Then...trade the #2 to NO along with Rondo and get their #1 and #10 and take Okafor's contract off their hands!!!

Rajon Rondo or no deal.

They're not giving up the #2 for a couple of late firsts and a role player. The Celtics don't have good enough trade assets (outside of Rondo) to make an attractive offer to Charlotte.

Even Davis is highly unlikely to have as successful a career as Rondo.

Rondo plus our first rounders is redinculously suuupid.

Iwouldnt trade Rondo for no one right now except for LeBron or Durant, lol. Rondo almost got us to the finals by his self. Had a great playoff run

The point is that you have to give up something of value to get something of value.

The Celtics two first round picks plus Bass or Green just isn't enough to get the #2 pick.
Celtics fan for life.

Yep.

I'd rather trade the two picks for a sold 13-15 spot that can contribute now, but be okay with some bench time. And Keep Bass And Green, who After seeing him some summer league play, really want to see hm run with Rondo, and seems motivated after being with the Big 3, and having the health scare. I'd like to see this guy reach his potential.

Plus if we are going for 2. that means Rebuild and I don't think Doc signed up for that.

I think you are correct in your assessment of comparable value.  I am sure I am in the minority but I would be willing to give up Rondo and the #21 for the #2 and another middle of the road young player from Charlotte.

Now if there was any chance in the world to get the #1, I would absolutely give up Rondo.  Davis is going to be the next Tim Duncan.  Remember, Duncan did 4 years in college and came out.  You don't think that Davis will be at least as good as Duncan was his rookie year in 3 more years?  As see Duncan as the floor for Davis and he could be better.

No way I trade Rondo for Davis. Rondo is an All Star and Davis has not play a minute yet. He may be boom or bust, who knows. But we all know Rondo is BOOM!!!

yeah I'm really not sure I'd want to risk that... I mean I feel that Davis will be great in the league but its still an unproven pick. Giving up our best player for that just leaves me with a bad feeling...

Now if Orlando decides they want to trade d12 for Rondo... well then thats a different story haha but at this point I think we need to view Rondo as a franchise player of sorts

I think I'd do Rondo for Davis. Rondo way overvalued here. Top 10 or do player tops. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's the truth. Plus, he's a headcase who is hard to play with. Would do it in a second, actually.

Exactly, and I don't think there is a prospect outside Davis I'd give up Rondo for.

1) Jeff Green has less than zero trade value, he'll sign back here

2) Charlotte can get a much better package for that #2

Then again...Michael Jordan does run that team...
