Are we absolutely, totally certain 3J can't play the 3?

During a t.o., in he Eastern Finals, I saw him standing next to KG. Now KG can be a bit slouchy, but JJJ looked taller.

I don't think he has the lateral footspeed as mentioned above.   He seemed to be lost on rotations last year at times.   The way the season started really hurt him and I am not sure they taught him much on the fly as our practices probably were not the league standard with our veterans and our age.

He need muscles and a preseason before we can judge him.

Very good point brought up here, due to the schedule from strike teams really had very few practices and/or time to work on things that normally coaching staff would address.  Rookies who weren't instant starters were forced to learn on the fly I bet

Dude...what? KG is 7'1... Is JJJ listed as being shorter than he is? I don't see any reason...

Either way, I think we're sleeping on JJJ. Solid pick. Very athletic. At the very least a rotational-role-player-starter caliber player.

JaJuan Johnson was the guy that I wanted Danny to get going into last year's draft.  I was thrilled when he traded the rights to Marshon Brooks for him on draft day.

I'm far from giving up on him.  I thought he he showed some good signs in the limited minutes he got last year.  He's very long and athletic, he can hit a jump shot, and he's got some skills in the post.  He clearly needs to bulk up some to compete as a big in this league. 

I've never really thought he had much potential as a small forward.  I do think he can be a good floor running, jump shooting big, though. 

I hope to see him get more of a chance in the 2012-2013 season.

Not sure of anything about JuJuan Johnson bc he didn't get playing time. The team hardly got a chance to practice last season, so he didn't get to earn the trust of the coaching staff and have time to improve as the season went along.

I don't know where he'll wind up playing, but I think he'll do some good things.

JJJ is more than a decent man defender. Heck, he was DPOY in the Big 10 as well as player of the year....and we know he can play offense.

We have a complicated defensive scheme which is difficult to pick up, especially with no training camp, summer league or full practices. Bigs are especially important in our help defense.

Give the kid a year with all those things. If he still sucks (which I don't think he does), dump him.....BUT

At least give him a chance.

Yeah ... Not sure JJJ is our man,  then neither did I think AB was going to get this good... ... He tooks so pathetic at times...  He'll get better, just not sure how quick or how much?

He lack a alot of confidence. He needs ALOT of weight room. Not bulk, just muscle to force his way on the inside. He can't stand outside and shoot jumpers his whole carreer.  The Celtics NEED TALL-TUFF-Centers

  Something I appreciate about Moore, he absolutely plays and handles the ball with confidence and acts like "HE BELONGS" and doesn't seem rattled by NBA pressure. He reminds me of Derrick Fisher. Beaming with confidence. And not rattled by making a bad shot or mistake.  He keeps playing ball.  But, we got AB .

The only talk, about JJJ, I ever heard from Doc was not about foot speed or strength but about about him not knowing what he should know..and his understanding and focus not where it should be...too many mental mistakes...remember he was in street clothes behind S Williams who was on the team only a couple of days.  If there was some promise wouldn't we want him to experience some of the play-offs in uniform?

Based on his combine measurements he's comfortably shorter than KG.

KG slouches a lot and camera angles make judging a few inches of height tricky.

He's going to get his chance and then some next season, either with us or another team.  I think he will have a breakout performance.

He reminds me of Bradley last season:

*Lost both training camp and multiple practices
*Packed with potential
*Looks lost on defense(bradley on offense)
*athletic

and the list goes on... I'm not saying AB's and treyjay's games are similiar, or the body types etc BUT JaJuan needs the same as what bradley got: time. I think he can become a great role player one day, if not a solid starter. Hey, look at my profile pic, don't you think I want this kid to succed? haha

And this is based off what?  No camp and very limited playing time.  Let's not jump the shark on this kid.

He is physically very athletic and talented.  What JJJ needs is more time to learn the system and more time in the weight room to build his body muscle up to dealing with grown men in the pros.  Give it time, he already has the jumper and the length and athleticism.

I know we need bigs, but more at center.  JJJ to me looks like a stretch 4.  I don't think he has the handles or footspeed to play the 3.
