You see how Collison changed the game yesterday against Miami. You see it with Chicago in Asik and Gibson, I mean THIS is our missing piece on defense. It could make us as we are what the best defense to just that much better. It gives us more opportunity to score obviously and could fuel our offense.

KG can only do so much besides when he rests we need somebody that is going to come in alter or block shots and crash the boards hard. I hope this is what Danny is targeting.

Me 5...and I immediately thought of McGee. It's odd that the first person it mentions is Collison, who although a fine player, is the last person I think of when talking about an "athletic shot blocker".

Well, living here in Boston, and watching sports news, reading the Herald..Doc has said he doesn't want the team rebounding on O..just get back on D.....then kg said it about doc...and he has sat rebounders also......so YES, we need a rebounder like collison....but will he play...?  Even perk liked to rebound...gone....coincidence..??  i know it was about $$$ with perk..well, i don't KNOW it..but.....many times i have seen the ball hit the floor after a shot...no C's around.....that is .."Thaat eis Tuurrble Kinneyy" at least that is what/how Charles Barkley would say it..!!!

the C's were even bad at defensive rebounding too however...I dont know how many times we would have a Great defensive stand only to have the team get the ball back..

if we can limit opponents to one shot, with our defense? we would be deadly

absolutely agree with OP.

thus, I write pro-Javelle McGee posts on celtsblog every other day.

he's such a perfect fit for us right now, and we've got the cap space to get it done.  With forwards who shoot from the outside like KG, Bass and Pierce; adding Javelle makes perfect basketball sense.

Side benefit, we give Rondo an athletic freak of a center who's also entering the prime of his career.

With the high level Rajon is playing at, a youth movement would be wasteful.

Let Ray walk, resign KG, & spend the needed coin on Javelle --- and this team is back in the ECF again next year.

We tried Hollins, Williams and Steimsma. We have yet to see what JjJ will bring to the table. Who else do you recommend. Camby would be great, Josh Smith even better; but what do you give up.

Let Ray walk and sign the number 2 shot blocker in the league, Javelle McGee.

Done and done.

We need to figure out how to blackmail the Houston Ownership and the Atlanta Ownership, so that Houston fires Kevin McHale as coach and then Atlanta hires him as GM.  Then Danny can float something like sign and traded Ray and Bass for Josh Smith and it will go through.

No first we need to do a trade for Dalembert a first round pick and Williams. Then he can head on over to Atlanta and give us Smith for the other first round pick, Johnson and a goat.
