Austin Rivers is predicted between pick 10-15

I believe that if Danny AND Doc believe he could fit, then they will find a way to get him

Assuming Phoenix like him at 13, I could see a package deal to them like: Rivers,Redd, and Lopez for Bradley and picks 21,22

Ray is most likely gone to the Clips IMO, if he comes back then so be it. Great for Austin to learn from
Lopez can be our 5 and let KG come back and go back to the 4 AND/OR come off the bench
Redd is a S/T throw in in case Ray doesn't return. If Rivers struggles, Redd is thrown in in Ray/House role to hit 3s

In Phoenix, Nash is likely gone, and Shannon Brown is said to be gone as well. Bradley comes in and Phoenix can pursue its future of chasing Nash replacements with a Bradley/Gortat/Dudley core

Rondo,Rivers,Pierce,Green,Lopez
Dooling,Redd/Ray,Quis,Bass,KG

If Boston wants to keep the old core but limit their minutes, I think this idea is best to run(similar to the Spurs) and we can rebuild/reload simultaneously

wow that was a HUGE speculation of a bunch of events happening rofl

i don't think Bradley is going anywhere

Why laugh so hard when you didn't read the post right?

There are a few WHAT IFs, but that's part of the off season.
Our entire team is a what if since the Big 3 could all retire and it not matter.

But a core of Rondo,Rivers,Pierce,Green,Lopez could be fun to watch.

I definitely agree KG is 2nd best player on the team, and a backup role is unlikely, but thats only during regular season. Give the young core time to develop, but Pierce/KG/Ray or Redd spend the most time on the floor come playoff time.

That would be a really bad deal for the C's.

I like the moving up idea. with Moore (who could be a very good back up PG next year) and JJJ getting a summer and preason to develop, and even Steemer, having 3 more guys to rely on would be tough. Get a top 15 like Rivers or Ross would be ideal.

I like the trade with Phoenix idea. Lopez its a decent center. Thats all you need. KG I think starts, but gets more rest with having Green swinging and JJJ hopefully being ready for some heavy minutes.

Redd Could be a great spot up shooter like House was, and if you have him and Ray, WoW! talk about spreading the floor at the end of the game.

Am I really the only one who would rather have Jeff Taylor at 22 than Royce White at 15 at the cost of both picks?

Terrence Jones is the only player I would consider trading up for, because everyone else is negledgably better or would cost too much to be cost efficient to trade up for.

I'm also really sketchy on relying on Moore and JJJ for quality minutes next season.  Both looked like end of the rotation players, let alone trusted role players who play significant roles.  Hopefully a full summer league and real preseason practices will help, but JJJ isn't strong enough to handle NBA bigs and Moore is an inconsistent shooter with poor court vision.  Both have very glaring flaws that will be extremely surprising if they can overcome.

Looking at the list of players that worked out for the c's I believe the players I have highlighted will be players taken around #15
Quote
Draymond Green       PF
Rakim Sanders        SF
Andrew Nicholson     PF
Robert Sacre         C
Darryl Partin        SG x 2
Will Barton          SG
Marcus Denmon        SG
Darrio Hunt          PF
Kervin Bristol       PF
Moe Harkless         SF
Orion Outbridge      PF
Terrance Ross        SG
Harrison Barnes      SF
Jeffrey Taylor       SF
Fab Melo             C
Festus Ezeli         C
Meyers Leonard       C added to list 6/1 @4:24
Quincy Miller        SF added to list 6/4
Darius Miller        SF
Kris Joseph          SF
Drew Gordon          PF
Kyle O' Quinn        PF/C

Of these guys highlighted my wishlist would be

1)Leonard
2)Ross
3)Harkless
4)Nicholson
5)Quincy Miller

I believe Danny is trying to land Leonard ,Ross or Harkless if he moves up

Trade up for Moe Harkless!

I love Austin, but I don't think we draft him for various reasons - most of all difficulty in locker room if anyone has a problem with Austin, etc.

It's good to have options -- especially since we were 12 minutes from an NBA Finals appearance.

I wonder what DA/Doc think of Moore, JJJ, Greg and Sean Williams in terms of potential to be solid NBA rotation players next season.  If any of them are ready to step up (Greg's performance this year was a pleasent surprise, but I'd hope for more next year), then Danny's flexibility increases.

DA can trade for players, he can move up in the draft, he can look at FAs to fill holes, he could even potentially work out an S&T with Ray (or Kevin).

I think it's going to be a fun few weeks of speculation and rumors.

My guess: we will keep the picks...or we will trade up... ;D

Now give me Sam Amico's job!

I love this: "they could do this, or, they could do that."

Brilliant stuff from Amico.

I was about to post that Ainge was flipping a coin and he was planning on having it land on heads.  Or maybe tails.

But then I realized Amico's reporting, if true, suggests ruling out the Celtics trading a pick in a package for a veteran or moving down in the draft in an attempt to get a future pick.  So, it's not completely devoid of useful content.  Just mostly.

It's all really going to depend who rises or falls on draft day..

i'm sure if theres someone Ainge really likes who ends up falling into the 13-15 range he'll try and move up and get them, likewise if he feels the players he wants will be available around 21, 22 he'll stay put

but everyone's draft stock is moving up and down so quickly its hard to say

Can't get to excited about the draft. No matter who they draft Doc will not play them. The only reason Bradley got a chance is Doc ran out of options. Rondo got his  chance because Doc exhausted all  other options......remember Sebastian.

I'd hate to see us use both picks to end up somewhere around 15th.  I think that there are players who will be available in the early 20s who are as good as those selected in the mid-teens.

I'd only move both picks if there was a specific player who Danny was in love with that slid.

Yeah, in this deep of a draft, I can't see much difference between midteens and early 20s. And with two picks, the Cs could address multiple needs, such as a rebounding big and an athletic wing scorer.

Agreed, However if there is not such a difference, teams would be willing to do it and if the C's are looking to land Doc's son would be easy to do. Not saying it would be the best move, but is certainly possible.
