I actually kind of count his role in the UC-Xavier brawl as a possible plus because I want the Celtics to have a nasty big who might be capable and willing to play a bit of an old-school enforcer role. I'm mainly concerned about Gates' weight, but if Ainge & company determine that he has the intelligence to play within the Celtics system, then he would be a good gamble for a late second-round pick. He definitely sounds like a guy who has a chance of making the same level of contribution that Lavoy Allen did as a rookie for Philly this season.
