So how would everyone grade our team who fought so hard through injuries in this strange strike shortened season.  Here is my list from game 1 through the playoffs.
Kevin Garnett- A he started off slow but was great around the time of moving to the center position, amazing playoff run by him
Paul Pierce-B as always a good all around game from the mature PP, slow start and obviously the injury in playoffs keeps him from A
Brandon Bass-C+ as a starter he filled in nicely, defense is weak at times, rebounding could be better but a big upgrade from Davis and if he was first big off the bench instead of a starter his grade would be much higher
Ray Allen-B- great start to season, ray and rondo kept us in things, very efficient scoring then injury and once Bradley got the minutes it was noticeable how slower things are with ray, i.e. waiting for running off picks, fast break
Rajon Rondo-A, I cannot pick between he and KG as to the mvp of season for team, stepped up big in playoffs, forces a better game out of everyone
Avery Bradley-B- slow start, still had the deer in headlights look when he was playing for rondo but then "click" as a sg he looked great, amazing defense, as a starter only he'd be getting an A from me
Marquis Daniels-D coming off major surgery daniels just couldn't get into groove all season, big help in playoffs, when he was playing well he's smart and a good defender
Keyon Dooling-D see above almost, really was pretty bad during season, good vet play though, did what was needed and during playoffs very important to team
Ryan Hollins-C-, played shortened season for team, good energy but seems to have the chicken with head cut off game going, guy who might have had worse grade if he played more
JaJuan Johnson-D if you consider he wasn't good enough to get any minutes, chances were there but seemed lost on defense, really lost, shows good promise for next season (see bradley) or give him an incomplete
E'Twaun Moore-see above
Sasha Pavlovic-C- at times looked like a bench savior, other times looked like an end of bench nba player (which he is) , always brought a lot of defensive effort
Mickael Pietrus-C, I think health was his main issue, at times he looked really good for us, when he played well he gave us 3 pt shooting, a defensive player and tough
Greg Stiemsma-C he went from a probably incomplete grade way up due to injuries, of course the injury he played through is keeping him from a C+, can't wait until next year when he's healthy and isn't going to be called with all the stupid fouls
Chris Wilcox-C- started off injured and his grade suffered for it, ending up playing really well for us prior to heart issues
Jermaine ONeil-D- 2 seasons of not having off season surgery, wasted cap space
Doc Rivers-A, great job this year
Danny Ainge-B-, great job of getting us deep enough to withstand all the injuries, green & krstic's losses etc

almost forgot Eddie Lecerte -A keeping a banged up team healthy enough to make ecf

In my opinion, BB should get a B- at least. He contributed as much as the injured Ray Allen.

Getting JO was a big mistake. The same think unfortunately for Green. Every sport in general, needs healthy players

not that much difference in grades there
too many times though the defensive lapses were Bass' fault and we had PP and KG among others covering his mental lapses
Ray's lesser grade is mainly from his injury, yes Bass did have knee affect his play as well

These grades represent each player's performance this year versus what I think is their "standard" - this does not compare player to player.

Rondo: A+++ (cannot say enough about his playoff performance)

KG: A (Most Important Player to the team's defense)

Bradley: B+ (team was 20-8 with him starting at 2)

Bass: B+ (had his down moments, but was huge for us at times, best season of his career)

Pierce: B (would give him a B- if not for Game 5 3pt shot, had nothing in the playoffs when we needed him most)

Ray - B (A for play before injury, C for play after injury, A+ for playing through pain)

Stiemer: B- (a revelation, played hurt all year, per minutes stats are impressive, including fouls)

Pietrus: C+ (B+ for defense, D+ for offense, A+++ for personality)

E'twaun: C  (showed flashes, might be a gunner)

Dooling: C  (horrible early, OK late, good defense, good teammate)

Wilcox: C  (was coming on before the heart surgery, could have used him to back up KG late in season)

Daniels: C- (about what he is as a player)

Sasha: D+  (never got off the bench, but hit some garbage 3's)

Hollins: D+  (energy and effort, passable defense, absolutely horrendous offensive ability, walking turnover)

J. O'Neal: F---  (key to our season was getting rid of him)

JJJ: Incomplete  (got some run early, showed flashes, didn't even dress for the playoffs, waiting for next year)

J. Green: Incomplete

Doc: A+  (4 season ending injuries, 2 of which were heart surgeries, Ray with bone spurs, Pierce with MCL sprain, no offense....team with lead 8 minutes away from NBA Finals....enough said)

Danny: B+ (Bass for BBD trade was theft, Bradley turned out to be a stud, Pietrus was a valuable pickup, J.O. was a horrible signing, still no offense on bench but injuries to blame there, sat tight at deadline when no one would have complained if he blew it up.....5 straight years of Championship contention, all you can ask a GM for)
