If Ray commands more money on the open market, then Billups is a real solution at the right price. I agree with those that say he would fit in perfectly with the culture of our team.

What's interesting is that if, and when, players get amnestied this summer we could place a bid with our cap room. One player that immediately comes to mind is Brand. Something within reason, say 2M, seems like real good value for a player that averaged 11 and 7 on nearly 50% shooting last season. Another amnesty candidate is Shawn Marion. The amnesty bidding process is an avenue for us to get players below market value that we should definitely explore.
