Only post presentations here for judges to see. No debates, no responses, just your own take on your team. No other posts of any kind whatsoever. If I weren't logically trying to inform you of the rules of this thread, even this post would be branded an outlaw and sentenced to die by hanging.

NOTE:  I will probably add some more detail to this at some point, but wanted to get something up there to start discussions.  Thanks.

The defending champions are finished.  I elected to go with Westbrook from this year.  Not quite as good statistically but much more mature and a better leader for the second unit (he also has a good shot at being a champion).  I still might take Bosh from this year if the Heat unfortunately pull it out against us, but otherwise think I am set with the team and years.  I believe the Mavs are the only team to have two MVP seasons utilized (Rose and Malone), which I think is a huge edge in this league.

PG - Rose 11, Westbrook 12, Bibby 04
SG - Pierce 02, Barbosa 07
SF - J. Johnson 05, Stackhouse 01
PF - K. Malone 97, Bosh 07, AC Green 89
C  - Bynum 12, Seikaly 93, Cousins 12

Projected Rotation with approximate minutes

PG - Rose 30, Westbrook 18
SG - Pierce 30, Stackhouse 10, Barbosa 8
SF - Johnson 30, Stackhouse 18
PF - Malone 35, Bosh 13
C - Bynum 25, Seikaly 15, Bosh 8
Bibby, Green, Cousins = situational players

Total Projected Minutes
35 - Malone
30 - Rose, Pierce, Johnson
28 - Stackhouse
25 - Bynum
21 - Bosh
18 - Westbrook
15 - Seikaly
08 - Barbosa

Projected 4/5 combinations with total minutes
Malone/Seikaly - 15
Bosh/Bynum - 13
Malone/Bynum - 12
Malone/Bosh - 8

As I indicated in the draft thread, I expect this team to run up and down the floor and be in constant fast break mode.  There is plenty of depth, so I want them to go crazy hard and full bore all game long.  I want this team to score in the 120-130 range every single night and just want to out gun the other teams.  I believe I set up the team correctly to do just that.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas C (15.6 pts, 7.6 rebs, 1.6 blks, 50 FG%)

Wesley Person SG/SF (14.7 pts, 4.4 rebs, 2.3 asts, 1.7 stls, 46.0 FG%, 43.0 3pt%)

Anticipated Minutes Breakdown:

PG: Steve Nash (35), Darrell Armstrong (13)
SG: Michael Finley (32), Shane Batter (10), Pippen (8)
SF: Scottie Pippen (32), Glen Rice (10), Shane Battier (6)
PF: Elton Brand (31), Josh Smith (17)
C: Jermaine O'Neal (33), Mehmet Okur (10), Elton Brand (5)

Player Roles:

Pippen: Defensive leader, will set the tone there, often taking most dangerous swingman in matchups. Offensively will play his game, allowing offense to come to him and using his versatile skill-set to do what is needed, rather than setting the pace.

Nash: Offensive leader, will set the pace offensively and dictate the flow of the game. Will be playing him heavy minutes, will lead the P&R offense in the half court but will be a monster in transition and resets.

Elton Brand: Will use his varied offensive skills to be main P&R partner with Nash, because he'll be a danger both as a pick+pop shooter and a finisher at the rim. Will be aggressive on offensive and defensive boards. Because of strength, will sometimes (but rarely) slip over to the center position to help increase tempo. In more traditional offensive sets will be relied upon as a low-post scoring option.

Michael Finley: Starting SG, but can guard either position on the wing. Will usually take less of the two dangers on the wing. Will be asked to be 3rd option in the offense behind Nash and Brand, and often will be asked to create his own shot using his skillset, strength, and size advantages.

Jermaine O'Neal: Starting center will be a devastating help defender because of length, agility, and nose for the ball. Speed will allow for the Spurs to run a faster paced offense than most, although O'Neal will give up some bulk to a lot of centers. On offense, will frequently be a spot-up shooter from midrange, and an alternative option cutting to the hoop on P&R's. Will also be pick and pop man with Nash.

Josh Smith: Will use elite athleticism and defensive acumen to be a devastating help-side defender. Will use elite athleticism and dunking acumen to be a devastating transition player and finisher at the rim. Also has a solid 15 footer.

Shane Battier: First swingman off the bench, will play either the 2 guard or the 3, often drawing the more dangerous assignment. Will bring energy and leadership , especially when other reserves are in, and hustle-mentality will encourage others to play harder. Offensively will help move the ball, and will be asked to be a back door cutter and corner-3 man.

Mehmet Okur: Main backup center, will use above average defensive skills to help contain post players with O'Neal out, and will use unorthadox offensive game (for a center) to further spread the floor for Nash by being a viable 3pt and midrange threat and gifted passer.

Darrell Armstrong: As a sixth man of the year in 99 he helped energize Orlando's second unit with his hustle-first mentality and tenacious defensive attack. He will do much the same here for about 13 minutes a night, keeping energy levels up and keeping ball movement healthy while Steve Nash rests.

Glen Rice: Probably a smaller role than he deserves, Glen Rice will serve as the chief reserve at the 3, and will bring his deadly shooting and shot creation to the second unit, a deadly weapon in transition and half-court alike.

Ersan Ilyasova: Won't play much, will bring energy, 3pt shooting, rebounding, and tough (if a bit raw) defense off the bench when needed. Will play more when more space is needed, especially in 'up-tempo' situations with Elton Brand as the center.

Wesley Person: A deep bench option who likely won't play much, but when he does he'll offer deadly 3pt shooting and sound defense.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas: Another deep bench option who probably deserves better, won't play much unless size is required beyond what O'Neal and Okur can offer. He's an elite defender at the 5 and a strong mid-range shooter, just a little too slow to play all that often with Nash.

Prognosis: Wins, all of them.

Philadelphia 76ers

Player Descriptions and Roles

Starters
  • Terry Porter - very similar player to Chauncey Billups but not quite as good. A big physical PG who is a plus defender/rebounder, a quality floor general and leader, a clutch player, a scoring PG with a very good jumper and highly efficient scoring.
  • Tracy McGrady - A terrific multi-dimensional wing with excellent scoring ability, ball-handling skills, passing ability, rebounding and defensive skills.
  • Josh Howard - A quality all-round player who plays plus defense, quality rebounding, solid go-to scoring. Is capable of operating within a smaller role. Good enough shot-creator to punish smaller two guards (assuming SF defending McGrady). Will be inter-changable defensively with McGrady.
  • Shawn Kemp - A dominant PF with incredible athleticism who was a nightmare to play against in his prime. A very strong defender/rebounder with a very good low post game and a solid midrange jumper. A capable passer.
  • Shaquille O'Neal - One of the most dominant players in NBA History who had one of the single most impressive seasons ever. An offensive colossus. A dominant rebounder. And a major defensive presence in the paint. MVP, Finals MVP, 2nd place for DpoY.

Shaq Daddy is the central figure and everything revolves around him. Tracy McGrady is the release valve on the perimeter and plays the "Kobe Bryant role".

Shawn Kemp's job is to fortify the interior defense and rebounding while also providing a third scorer as well as becoming the main post-scorer whenever Shaq rests.

Terry Porter is fourth in command and his job is to run the offense and move the ball around. I didn't want a PG who needed to dominate the basketball. I wanted someone who could be effective without the basketball and make sure all five guys where actively involved offensively and touching the ball.

Josh Howard's role is to provide defense, rebounding and be a fifth option offensively. His minutes will fluctuate depending on both (1) matchups, and, (2) how the bench players are performing. May only be a 15-20mpg guy or could be a 25-30mpg guy.

Bench
  • PG - Kyle Lowry - A scrappy PG who fights for every loose ball. Tough nosed defender. Plays with energy, terrific energizer for a bench. Gets to the foul line. Hits threes. Wins rebounds. Forces turnovers.
  • SG - James Harden - A highly efficient offensive weapon who is a very good scorer, shooter, ball-handler and passer. A solid defender/rebounder.
  • SF - Rudy Gay - A quick footed small forward who plays plus defense, is a good rebounder and a very good scorer who can create his shot from anywhere on the court.
  • SF/PF - Danny Manning - a highly skilled power forward who plays very tough defense. Very good jump shooter, ball-handler, passer, has a post game and is a very good scorer. Not a good rebounder. I love Manning's ability to create (or eliminate) matchup problems at both forward positions. To go big at SF (6-10, 230lb) or quick at PF.
  • PF - Serge Ibaka - A very good defensive PF with terrific shot-blocking skills and above average rebounding. A limited offensive game but is a good finisher around the basket and has a very good stand still shooter from 16-20 foot jumper. I think he'll be particularly effective alongside Shaq.
  • PF/C - Roy Tarpley - An incredible rebounder on both ends of the court (see stats below). An above average defender with good position defense (especially in the post). Forces turnovers. Solid size at 6-11 235lbs with good mobility. Very good game around the basket. Limited (streaky) jump shot.
  • PG - Monta Ellis - A score-first PG with limited floor general skills. A terrific scorer that can provide plus defense and rebounding at the one spot. He will not play the two spot, ever. When used, he'll get minutes alongside James and/or Tracy McGrady. Maybe some with Shaq but mostly when Shaq is resting.
  • SG/PG - Eric Gordon - Explosive shooter and scorer who supplies quick footed defense at the two spot. Above average defender who is particularly effective defensively against quick-footed guards like Dwyane Wade (which my team needed given I mostly have bigger wings) but can struggle against bigger wings. He will see playing time against those smaller quicker guards.

The bench has three Sixth Man of the Year award winners in James Harden, Danny Manning and Roy Tarpley. It also has two players in Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka who are only recently removed from bench positions where they were very effective.

So given their skill-sets, mental disposition and proven ability to operate within smaller roles; I have full confidence in their ability to do so here.

I like Kyle Lowry because he is a scrappy player who will fight for loose balls, play tough defense and supply my team with boundless energy. He is also a solid scorer who can get to the rim, the free throw line, and, knock down three pointers. Plus, provides some passing too.

James Harden is a hugely efficient scorer who has proven to be effective alongside two ball-dominant stars (Durant, Westbrook) in OKC. He has a lethal jump shot, a well rounded offensive repertoire and is very good in the pick and roll game. Harden is also a solid defender and rebounder plus a very good ball-handler and passer.

I like Harden's ability to provide my team with an added ball-carrier and playmaker on the wing particularly whenever Tracy McGrady needs a breather + his ability to make big plays down the stretch of close games.

Serge Ibaka is a low usage big man who does not need plays ran for him to be effective. Just go out there and create extra possessions for the team, win rebounds and make a few shots when they come your way.

Roy Tarpley's job is to provide high level rebounding and possession creation, plus defense and give a small amount of post scoring. Be a threat with his size and mobility.

Eric Gordon, Monta Ellis and Rudy Gay have never played bench players. I have confidence in Eric Gordon's ability to adapt. I think he has the right mentality. However, Monta and Gay will have trouble operating within the confines of their role so their roles will be less than I would ideally like (which is replacing Kyle Lowry and josh Howard respectively).

Monta Ellis will be used as a third string PG who will be called upon whenever my team needs an added boost offensively either in terms of shot-creation or dribble penetration. Rudy Gay will get the nod when I need a bigger quick defensive wing or when Manning plays PF.

Crunch Time
  • PG - Terry Porter
  • SG - James Harden
  • SF - Tracy McGrady
  • PF - Shawn Kemp, Serge Ibaka or Danny Manning depending on need.
  • C  - Shaquille O'Neal
The offense will still be run through Shaq and McGrady with Harden and Porter in supporting roles.

I really like Porter and Harden here because they are both knockdown shooters with 60+% TS%. Shaq and McGrady are also very efficient scorers. Kemp is another 60% TS% and Manning and Ibaka are at around 57%.

So lots of efficient scoring. Not to mention three ball-handlers and passers on the perimeter with a potential fourth in Manning. Lots of versatility and ability to penetrate a defense that helps out on Shaq in the post.

The PF slot will depend on matchups and what type of lineup the coaching staff wants. It'll likely be Manning or Kemp with Ibaka getting the odd call on rare occasions.

Danny Manning will be chosen if my team's offense needs a boost. Shawn Kemp gives my team it's toughest defender/rebounder and best low post scorer. Ibaka gives me the best mix of rebounding, team defense and long two point jump-shooting.

Playoff Experience + Leadership

Shaq is the all-conquering leader. 38.0ppg and 16.7rpg in the Finals that year.

Tracy McGrady, my second in command, has limited post-season experience which is a hindrance.

Shawn Kemp has been to the NBA Finals and played brilliantly against the 72 win Chicago Bulls and finished runner up for Finals MVP. His playoff run included stellar performances against Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman, two of the toughest defensive PFs of that era. Plus, that Bulls team was a dominant defensive squad.

Terry Porter went to two NBA Finals, the conference Finals in between. He was one of Portland's best leaders and most reliable players during that run.

James Harden and Serge Ibaka are the third and fourth best players on an OKC team that is on it's way to the NBA Finals (and are favourites to win). They have both played very well so far and will be filling similar roles here as on that team. They also went to Conference Finals the year before. Roy Tarpley also had a big playoff run for Dallas in 1988 when he helped push the Lakers to seven games in the Conference Finals.

The rest of the bench has limited post-season experience.

Stats

Starters
  • Terry Porter - I thought he was very similar across that three year period where Portland made the Finals twice. So any of those years is fine - 1990/1991: 17ppg, 8apg, 2spg, 3.5rpg on 51.5% FG, 41.5% 3FG on four attempts a game, 82% FT for a true shooting percentage of 63% with low turnovers - his playoff numbers were very similar and consistent across that three year period
  • Tracy McGrady - 2002/2003 - 32ppg, 6.5rpg, 5.5apg, 1.7spg, 24 shot attempts, 6 threes, 10 FTs per game, a true shooting mark of 56.4% with freakishly low turnover numbers so his scoring efficiency was actually much higher than that.
  • Josh Howard - 2006/2007: 18.9ppg, 6.8rpg, 2.2apg, 1.2spg, 0.8bpg on 46% field goal percentage, 38.5% from three (3.4 attempts per game) and 83% foul line (limited attempts) for a TS% of 55% with very low number of turnovers.
  • Shawn Kemp - 1995/1996: 19.6ppg, 11.4rpg, 2.2apg, 1.6pg, 1.2spg on 56% TS% with 8.4 FTAs per game (74%) and a TS% of 63% (which he upped to 67% in playoffs).
  • Shaquille O'Neal - 1999/2000: 29.7ppg, 13.6rpg, 3.0bpg, 3.8apg, 57% FG plus finished 2nd in DpoY (to Alonzo Mourning) as he led LA led the league in defensive efficiency at a stingy 98.2 points per 100 possessions. He then raised his game in the playoffs to 30.7ppg and 15.4rpg and again in the Finals to 38ppg and 16.7rpg. MVP, Finals MVP, 2nd place DpoY.

Bench

  • PG - Kyle Lowry - 2010/2011: 13.5ppg, 6.7apg, 4.1rpg, 1.4spg. 37.6% on threes. 55% TS%.
  • SG - James Harden - 2011/2012: 16.8ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.7apg in 31.5mpg on 49% FG, 39% on threes, 85% free throws for a TS% of 66%. In playoffs, he has upped his numbers slightly and maintained a 60+% TS% for the second straight year in the post-season.
  • SF - Rudy Gay - 2011/2012: 19ppg, 6.4rpg, 2.3apg, 1.5spg, 0.8bpg on 52% TS
  • SF/PF - Danny Manning - 19ppg, 7rpg, 3.5apg, 1.5spg, 1.5bpg on 54% FG and 57.7% TS%
  • PF - Serge Ibaka - 2011/2012: League-leading 3.7bpg (9.8% block percentage) to go along with 9.1ppg and 7.5rpg in 27mpg.
  • PF/C - Roy Tarpley - 1987/1988: 13.5ppg and 11.8rpg in 28.5mpg which he upped to 17.9ppg and 12.9rpg in 33mpg in the playoffs on 52% FG (55% TS). 22.6% TRB% in regular season and a 21.7% in postseason.
  • PG - Monta Ellis - 2010/2011: 24.6ppg on 45% FG, 36% 3FG, 79% FT with 5.6 assists and 2.1 steals per game
  • SG/PG - Eric Gordon - 2009/2010: 16.9ppg, 3apg, 2.6rpg in 36mpg on 45% FG, 37% threes (5 attempts per game), 74% FTs (5 attempts again) for a TS% of 57%. I had to pick 2010 because of injuries in 2011 and 2012. Less of a playmaker in those years and less aggressive as a shot-taker.

Overall

I think my team has one of the strongest starting lineups and one of the strongest benches in the league.

We have an excellent offensive team, a very good defensive team and an excellent rebounding team. A truly well-rounded squad that can play multiple styles of play and matchup effectively against a number of different scenarios.

We can play a power game, we can play a running game, we can go big or small on the wings. We can attack you in a number of different ways which are pretty much all based our greatest strengths (Shaq, McGrady).

We have an unstoppable force in the paint in Shaquille O'Neal. A dynamic wing to support in McGrady. We have multiple ball-handlers and playmakers. Several shooters. Scoring from multiple different avenues.

Lots of size and athleticism across the floor.

I think it's under-stated just how big and physical we are going to be across all five positions. Shaquille O'Neal and Shawn Kemp are two of the greatest athletes of their size to ever play the game. Lots of size and explosive athleticism on the wing with McGrady and Gay. Big PG in Porter. Even with the bench; with Ibaka, E.Gordon, M.Ellis, D.Manning, R.Tarpley. J.Howard. Some very explosive athletes there and everyone has solid size/quickness for their position.

Overall: we have an excellent offensive team, a very good defensive team and an excellent rebounding team. A truly well-rounded squad that can play multiple styles of play and matchup effectively against a number of different scenarios. I truly believe this to be the best team.

First things first: the Kidd/Payton backcourt is not a problem at all.
Both grew up together in Oakland, are friends, Kidd has called Payton his mentor.  They were the starting backcourt for both the 1999 USA Team, and the 2000 Olympic team.  They can play well together and have played well together.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fL4-mq3Mz8I

Per Larry Brown about playing them together on Team USA:

Quote
Coach Larry Brown didn't waste time placing him in the starting lineup alongside Payton.
"They're not just two great players from Oakland," Brown said. "They're two of the best guards I've ever seen. They complement each other so well. I think it would be a crime in our league if they played together."

Here’s an article that states how great the Payton/Kidd backcourt was working out for Team USA (but you need to pay to see the whole thing), but here's some key quotes from it:
Quote
But the unlikely backcourt duo of Payton and Kidd has set the tone and put these games out of reach practically before they have even started.

"You know, me and J, we grew up together [in Oakland, Calif.]," Payton said. "When we're both on the floor, it's just like . . . we're the same. Jason wants to do more; he wants to be the rebounder, the assist man, and he gets his points when he has to. But right now they have me in a position [off-guard] where they want me to score all the time, and when he or I get the ball, we know to go. And defensively, we're trying to cause havoc. We're trying to get steals, and we're trying to get easy baskets for our teammates. That's what we do."
Quote
Team USA coach Larry Brown has started Payton and Kidd together in the backcourt, which has resulted in a nightmarish experience for opponents. Each player has made his reputation in the NBA with tough defense and a propensity for finding the open man. And while they have been in San Juan, it has been no different.

"When I looked at what would give us the best chance of winning, it was a not a hard decision at all," Brown said. "I had to go with these two guys in the backcourt. They do so many things well, and they're sort of interchangeable. Their defense is so amazing, and they just cause all kind of problems for the opposition."
Quote
"Those guys are so fast, so good, so athletic and so skilled that it makes it hard for anyone [on the other team] to do their job," Nash said. "You're talking about two of the best at their position in the world. And when you go against both of them at the same time, it can be overwhelming."
Quote
"To say it's not special to play with a guy you grew up with would be lying," Payton said. "This has been fun for the both of us. Playing in games like these are the kind you grow up talking about. It makes it even better when you can look over to see someone you've known since you both were kids."

Payton and Kidd were the captains for those USA teams, just like they’ll be co-captains for my team.

Also Kidd started alongside Kevin Johnson, and also shared the court with Steve Nash in Phoenix.  Gary Payton started alongside Sam Cassell with the Bucks.  Kidd and Payton have played well with other point guards before, and played great together with Team USA.

Bottom line is, the Kidd/Payton backcourt works.

And with a Run-TMC version of Chris Mullin, along with Blake Griffin, I got a team that can really get out and run.

Next issue, Sabonis past his prime.  I'm taking the youngest version, so the most healthy and athletic version of Sabonis available.  Look at his per 36 numbers, and look at his playoff numbers.  Also in this league I don't need to play Sabonis more than the 30mpg anyway (he'll likely settle in around 25mpg).  He will split time at Center with Brad Miller.  Both started and came off the bench for their teams in the years I chose, both are great passing big men, great ball handlers, and both could shoot the 3p.  While the rest of my team runs, they can come down and play the high post - Centers that can shoot the 3p, pass, handle the ball, and play up top are perfect for this kind of team.  Your bigs gotta come out and guard them.  Which will really open things up for my team with their passing.

My 6th man is Anthony Mason, another great ball handler and passer for his position, and will back up both the 3 and 4.

Rotation and minutes will look this:

PG: Kidd (35), Payton (13), Irving, Barry
SG: Payton (22), Hawkins (20), Barry (6), Augmon
SF: Mullin (30), Mason (6 ), Granger (12), Augmon
PF: Griffin (30), Mason (16), Granger (2), Nene
C: Sabonis (24), Miller (22), Griffin (2), Nene

And this is who gets the shots (based out of 100%)
Kidd: 12%
Payton: 14%
Mullin: 16%
Grffin: 16%
Sabonis: 9%
Mason: 8%
Miller: 8%
Hawkins: 8%
Granger: 6%
Barry: 2%
Irving, Nene, Augmon: 1%

Kidd and Payton are great defenders, Barry, Hawkins, Mason, Granger, and Augmon are good defenders.  All but 2 players on my team averaged a steal or more per game, and those that didn't averaged 0.8 and 0.9.

Kidd, Payton, Mullin, Sabonis, Miller, Hawkins, Barry, Granger, and Irving all have to be guarded out to the 3pt line.  4 guys shot 40% or better from 3, two others shot 38%, and another shot 37%, and that doesn't include Payton or Miller who have to be respected.

All my guys are unselfish players, and probably everybody except for Griffin, Nene, and Augmon (two of whom are at the end of my bench) are great or at least above average passers and ball handlers for their position.  The only person who averaged less than 2apg is Sabonis, and we know he's a great passer and that was only because he was playing 24mpg.

We got shooting, passing, defense, ball handling, and unselfishness.  Looking at combined stats, my team shoots 51% from the field, 38% from 3, and 78% from the line, with a 1.8 assist-to-turnover ratio (all would be in the running for league leaders any given year).

And all my guys have played great with other superstars (Payton and Hawkins in Seattle, then Payton again in LA and Miami, Barry in San Antonio, Sabonis in Portland, Mason in New York and Miami, Mullin with Run TMC, Granger on a balanced Indiana team, Kidd/Payton/Mullin in the Olympics.  I think some teams have too many alpha dogs who need the ball and a lot of shots to be effective, I don't have that problem here.

And I feel I have a few different styles I could play too in addition to my regular starting lineup:
I can go small and fast with Blake Griffin at Center and Anthony Mason/Danny Granger at PF, or I can go big with Anthony Mason at SF, and even play Brad Miller at PF next to Sabonis at C for short periods of time.

End of bench:
I have a young stud in Irving, who granted won’t see much time, but being his first year out of college, and playing behind and learning from Payton and Kidd will suit this youngster just fine.  Hey it worked for Steve Nash playing behind Kevin Johnson and Kidd.  Nene is my 3rd (or even 4th) string big, backing up both the PF and C spots.  He’ll provide good hustle, rebounding, defense, and scoring, and won’t miss too many shots.  And Stacey Augmon is a very good athlete and defender (they didn’t call him the Plastic Man for nothing).  If we had a player like Wade, Kobe, or LeBron killing us, maybe he’d get a chance to lock them down.  If he did get to play, he’d thrive getting out on the break with Payton and Kidd.

You know other teams will have problems with who gets the shots and minutes (or not getting enough shots and minutes) and if certain players can co-exist together.  I don't think that's a problem at all on my team.  We can space the floor, pass, run, defend, and shoot.

Ok, here goes - don't have much time for pictures or such, so I'll just go with the meat and potatoes:

C - Yao Ming/Joakim Noah/Manute Bol

PF - KG/Zach Randolph/Antonio Davis

SF - Eddie Jones/Derek McKey/Dennis Scott

SG - Michael Redd/Tony Allen

PG - Chauncey Billups/Sam Cassell

I think that with this particular draft, I intentionally deviated from going with Defense at all spots. This allowed me to think more realistically as to team structure, and in fact made my team a bit better than in the past.

The versatility on this particular team offers me scoring in the starting lineup and off the bench. Michael Redd (along with KG and Yao) presents my Big Three Offense-wise, with Chauncey and Eddie spreading the floor nicely for me. Michael Redd will demand my opponents' best Defense Player, and even THEN he would still prove to be a bit much to handle. The man could score from basically anyhwere. Additionally with Redd, he played good defense while in MIL.

With KG and Yao, I have IMO the best starting Big duo in this format. They are both intelligent and exceptional passers. Yao has an outstanding post game, as well as a solid mid-range J. KG will help spread the floor for Yao (as well as his teammates), with his court vision and mid-range game as well. KG also has an under-rated post-up game, too. He and Yao will cause nightmares for opponents' frontline tandems.

Additionally, the 2003-04 KG offers me the ability to guard opposing 1-2-3-4’s and 5s

My ONLY knock on Yao would be his quickness, and for that we have either Joakim Noah or Antonio Davis for defensive purposes. In just about all cases that I see with this particular draft, there are NO Big combos that feature BOTH bigs with exceptional speed or overall skill, so I think my team covers Yao's few deficiencies up rather well.

Additionally, we have instant offense off the bench with our Bigs - Zach Randolph. He proved during 2010-11 that he was a 3rd Team All-NBA with his rebounding and offensive game. In this format, I don't see many other teams that could slow him down off the bench.

Finally, don't forget what Manute Bol means to us. We have the 7'7" Manute to bring in and cause immediate havoc with his length and intimidation - not to mention that he could hit the occassional three.

My PGs and SGs offer an unmatchable tandem of Offense, Speed, Perimeter defense, clutch, and NBA Championship experience. I know that there are probably a FEW PGs better than Chauncey stats-wise, but NONE could do EVERYTHING WELL like Chauncey could - while keeping their clutchness. Tony Allen could also guard some SFs in this format, and let's not forget that Kobe Bryant himself annointed TA as being his best individual defender.

To my memory, there was a concern about my SF's and facilitating? I believe that Eddie Jones, while not being a Full-Time SF, fits this need adequately. Depending upon matchups, we could also utilize the longer Derek McKey for bigger SFs. McKey could also defend some PFs AND offer us even more matchup problems with our opponents - while not being a bad facilitator and scorer at the same time.

Also - my concern with having an Superstar SF is minimal, being that we have exceptional passing and distributing from our PG, PF and C. Ball movement won't be a problem at all with this bunch. And while we are at it, we will probably run some teams off the floor.

Overall, I love my team. We offer length, versatility with scoring, defense, deep threats to open things up a bit, deep substitutions, and Winning experience.

I felt like I built a pretty well-balanced team which incorporatss a good mixture of all the elements of a good basketball team;  scoring, rebounding, passing, defense, 3 point shooting, high percentage field goal shooting, and free throws.

From a chemistry standpoint, I think this team works real well.  The onus of the scoring will be on my big men, Robinson & Gasol, as well as the penetrating Kevin Johnson.  I expect that Jeff Hornacek will see a lot of open looks sitting on the perimeter as the 4th scoring option on the starting unit.  I feeel I have one of the great perimeter defenders in NBA history with Bruce Bowen and have no qualms with sacrificing some scoring at the wing position to get shutdown defense from him.  Especially in a league like this where there are a ton of scoring wings.

I feel like I have another great defender off the bench with Blaylock who was a bit underappreciated as a playmaker and even a scorer back in the day.  Jackson and the X-Man will provide plenty of scoring from my 2 & 3 position and Horford is another rugged big man that will grab boards while providing a bit of change in tempo from the PF position while Gasol is out.  Hot Rod is an often underappreciated big man who could defend, grab boards, and put back easy baskets.

This isn't necessarily a team built to win best offensive or best defensive team categories but I think its as well-balanced a team you will find in this league.

Apologies to all, I have been taken over by both work and home and have not had the time to post anything related to this since the last couple of rounds. If someone wanted to co GM and talk up the Bulls I feel like we would have a legit shot at the title. Well balanced everywhere. Thanks!
