I have Josh Smith 8th amongst PFs behind Dirk, Pau, K-Love, Aldridge, Z-Bo, Griffin and Bosh. Millsap, Odom and Ibaka just behind them.
I started get upset with you for neglecting the big ticket.

Then I remembered...... Its still weird to think of him in the "C" bucket of players.
Yeah, I had to go double check to see what was going on there. I didn't remember Smith being quite that high before. Thought I must be leaving someone out. Garnett, different list now.

I'd like to move Pau Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge and Chris Bosh over there (center) too. That would put Josh Smith 5th amongst PFs.

Yeah Pau really seems to be a C now, seems out of place playing around outside so much.

Bosh could go either way, I mean until the playoffs and his injury the Heat stubbornly kept Joel Anthony/Haslem/Turiaf on the court the majority of Bosh's time.

Bosh without hesitation. Bosh is more mentally mature, has a better outside shot and post game.

I think Smith is better defensively, Bosh is better offensively, and both are probably about even overall.  Depends on what you are going for.

I had to go with Josh Smith, it might just be because I like him so much. Overall maybe indeed Bosh is a better talent, I wouls rather have Smith to start my team with. I just think bosh is too soft and Smith has more athleticism that can help him around the rim. Bosh is a 20 10 guy on a team where he is the number one option... Im not sure the same can be said for Smith, although i guess he did do that this season, and Smith plays better defense with the ability to guard three positions.

I voted for Smith but both guys just don't have "it" to be considered great pf.   Smith's passing to me is the key, for a pf he really is a good passer.  Would he flourish with a pg like rondo and a team system (no 3's!)...maybe.  Bosh is good big, good outside shot, weak low block presence.  He's KG light

Bosh is better than Josh Smith, and it's not close.

Bosh averages 18/8 as a third wheel to two ball-dominant stars.  He was the lead guy in Toronto, and averaged 24/10 in his last year there.  He pulled a couple of pretty bad Toronto teams into the playoffs while he was there.

He has a fake-intense demeanor on the court that annoys me, but the guy can play the game at a high All-Star level.

In trying to understand JSmith’s value around the league, and why some Cs fans are so high on him, I first have to understand where would I rank him among the league’s Power Forwards.

Ok, so many people around the league don’t think too much of CBosh as a 1st tier Power Forward and so I was wondering;  Who would I call first if both were free agents.

I would call CBosh first.

Is JSmih better than Buzzer, Amare, Love, Blake, Aldridge, Mislap, Anderson, Nowitski, Gasol?  I mean, how low do I go before I say, yep, he is better than that guy…..

Ok, so he might be better than Bass...maybe  ::)

I generally argue that people here tend to overrate Smith, but Milsap? Really? Yikes. He's better than Anderson as well.

I agree.  JSmith beats Mislap and Anderson.

Bosh averaged 18/8 with ball hog teammates this year and Josh Smith averaged 19/9 with ball hog teammates.  You can't just leave that off.  At least LBJ and Wade get attention off of Bosh, JJ is a black hole that isn't exactly freeing up Smith all that well.  I think Bosh is still probably better overall, but J Smith is a better fit for this team.

Chris Bosh is a better overall player. I love Josh and I still think he has some potential. He can still polish his offense a bit more. His defense is really good in my opinion.

Bosh on the other hand may not be a better defensive player is better on offense

Smith is more of a Celtic player, Bosh is LA all the way.  Bosh has polished offensive skills that impress from time to time.  He is not a focused and Defensive minded as I would like. Bosh is very soft.

I'd take Smith...FI KG is on our team.  He'd have that boy ballin like nobodies business.

Stats don't tell the whole deal, but Chris Bosh averages like 18/8 on pretty good efficiency, while playing next to 2 guys that both dominate the ball and could score anywhere from 25-40+ on any given night.

Bosh's production also arrives within the flow of the offense. Bosh does not hijack the team's offense. Bosh does not throw up ridiculous 3's and if Bosh did shoot a 3, maybe it has a better chance to go in than JSMooth's 3 point attempt.

Bosh gets a really bad rap...very unnecessary....he was never in the same class as Lebron or Wade...I don't see why parts of the media or NBA fans would expect Bosh to be held to that type of high standard.

To Shaq and the rest of the Bosh haters...don't hate on Bosh because he ain't Duncan. Bosh is pretty consistent player who can perform and produce when asked upon. Bosh was virtually a 22/12 guy when Wade was hurt for 8 or 9 games. He helped Lebron and the Heat produce a fantastic record with Wade not playing.

When it comes to Bosh, I'm a hater. Won't deny it. He has some skill but he's soft to me. I like a big who can finish and plays defense. Smith beats him in those areas and I don't think he's nearly as far off offensively as some here do so Smith gets my nod.
