I saw it mentioned in the game thread and thought I saw it as well here's the clip, it looks like he says I'll be back or do you want me back as Doc nods but who knows. If even he did tell Doc that he's not going to share it with the media and speak for Garnett beside it'll be up to Ainge to make it happen.

Do we want Doc back? 1 ring in 4 years with the Big 3 1/2?

Doc is a great coach, it isnt his fault that our bench sucks.

absolutely.  He's a phenomenal coach.  The fact that we even took the Heat to 7 games with this team is nothing short of amazing.

Doc is a great coach, it isnt his fault that our bench sucks and our big 3 are too old.

Fixed.

Watch the games. The big 3 are too old. It wasn't like they all outplayed their counterpart all series, and we lost the series because of the bench.

Also, no, KG didn't ask Doc if he wanted him back. Obviously that was NOT the time to ask such a serious question, lol OBVIOUSLY. What I thought he did say though, was something along the lines of, I'm coming back, don't worry about this emotional exit, I'll be back."

Yeah you are right, the Big 3 may be old, but atleast they produced something last night.
Our bench scored 2 points (Ryan Hollins) compared to 19 from the Heats bench. Our bench was just plain awful.

It's a superstar league. Yeah, our bench sucked. That can be fixed easy enough.

You can't however, fix 3 aging superstars. Like I said.... Pierce was BRUTAL in this series. Ray looks like a role player.. ANd KG? he was neutralized when Bosh returned.

It was fairly unsurprising. If we were a little healthier we'd have won the series.

I don't want doc back..he is a terrible coach....a "players coach" = the stars do whatever they want.....docs philosephy..no rebounding....as we have seen, rebounders sit.....okay, that is the worst idea EVER.....back on D, well, sorry, this is a full court, full time game....so yes, you have to do BOTH.....it is only 5 on 5, so WHAT..??? Keep one guy back for fast breaks, then follow and rebound....very easy to figure out.....doc is a very non-vision coach.....the guys they drafted should play early and often...why else did you draft them.....Bradley, a draft....more he plays, better he gets....so the same with moore and jjj.....but not under doc.....

We hd no good bench this year because doc would never let them play..sasha for example....is a good bench player...never got a chance, except when he played against Atlanta...and shut down joe johnson.......

There was nothing on the bench. The cupboard was bare. He had two big guys -- one who probably shouldn't be in the league (Hollins) and another who in my opinion is a third-string center at best (Stiemsma). He had a backup 2/3 who could not shoot to save his life and a backup 1/2 who played his heart out, but also for the most part had trouble scoring. There was NOTHING on the bench. Now, if he had had Green, Wilcox, and Allen on the bench -- well, that would have been a far different story.

I want Doc back. He is one of the best in the NBA.

People are seriously questioning Doc Rivers?

I think it's fair to say Pierce, KG, and Ray have seen and played a few games.  I think it's fair to say that Rondo is not one to suffer fools.  And I think it's more than fair to say Doc has not only earned their immense respect, he has gotten some very large egos to buy into the team and follow what he says.  In a league where big name players call out coaches to the media and get people fired, these are four guys who do not tolerate ineptness that all would jump off a cliff for him.

Doc is an exceptional play caller and is great managing a team.  He isn't the greatest at developing talent by any means, but he knows how to get the most out of his team and has done that every year.  Besides 2007, this team has gotten further than the talent (due to injuries or just bad benches) has said they should get.  2009 without KG we should have been swept with Scal being our 6th man and third bigman behind Perkins and Davis against Howard.  In 2010 we came one quarter from winning the championship with KG on one leg, Ray completely worthless every game besides game 2, and Perkins out.  In 2011 we ran into the Heat and had Rondo's arm snapped in half with limping KG and limping Pierce.  This year, the fact we even made the playoffs is a miracle in itself, let alone get to game 7 in the ECF against the Heat.

Steamer just got selected for the USA team....he did shoot well..until he constantly got benched....and never had any passes in the paint....Sasha is a good bench player, a good shooter, and a very good defender....but you may have forgotten that...MD even played good, when he was in....and as for moore and jjj, they would have been pretty good under popovich...he would have played them a lot in Jan-Feb-march...to get them ready.....he waited a year to play Bradley...why...as soon as he played a lot, he developed as all the rest would....and doc hardly ever held practice in any past year..it was a written fact, heard from kg, and the herald. So, no, you won't see who can do what there either.....Yes, doc can draw a play up..but that is about it....he was out coached in every series....the adjustments, rotations, matchups.....
