Lets say that -

Ray Allen signs somewhere else, KG retires and Paul Pierce is traded

Rondo has had privilege to play with these type of players and also at a very high level since they have come aboard. Every playoffs has been intense.

SO without the big three lets say, i think we still can grab the 7th or 8th place at least, but prob stuggle to beat anyone out of the first round.

If yesterday was an indication, rondo looked pizzed off losing game 7. He even snapped at a guy who asked him if the team felt tired. After the 2nd time confirming Rondo snapped at him, like that is a stupid question.

Fans will obviously feel lost as each of the big three start leaving , but I worry most about how it will affect Rondo as we start losing more than usual.

Rondo has to learn to be a PASS FIRST PG and not a Pass ONLY pg.

When he don't hesitate and actually shoots open jumpers he is more helpful.

I think Danny has something up his sleeve to get Rondo someone to make sure he keeps him happy, and if he cant do that then he will perhaps trade Rondo. I really don't know but I hope we keep him cause I love what he is turing into.

I don't think he'll bail. He's kind of a throw back guy if you think about it. He has that if you're not with me you're against me mentality. And for one I don't think he's the type to quit and take the easy way out by teaming up with another superstar. He's too arrogant for that.

And quite frankly I think losing is gonna do wonders for him. I think it'll force him to be more consistent especially when he has no one to worry about getting going. And most importantly, he'll be hungry. A hungry rondo is a good (and quite frankly a scary) rondo.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
Rondo proved a lot to me this year. I think he stepped up and improved on a lot of his weaknesses. He still has a ways to go mind you, but he was a more complete player this year who made huge strides on his negatives. If he can improve even a little more, he's gonna be a beast next season!

Rondo is a Celtic

Rondo will stay until his contract expires.

Then he'll re-evaluate his options. If Danny has the team in a good place or close to being in a good place, I think he stays. If not, I think there will be a strong chance Rondo leaves that summer.

This is so incredibly stupid.  Rondo does so many things better than every other PG in the NBA.

-Defense
-Rebound
-Control the offense
-Lead
-Coach

He also scored over 20 PPG in this series, including a 44 point game.

Complaining about his scoring is so completely overdone and just flat out dumb.  He scores efficiently and sets his teammates up with great looks.  Who cares how he does it.  He gets the job done.  Stop listening to ESPN's mantra of "you have to shoot 40 jumpshots a game to be good".

There were plenty of posts at the beginning of the season about how we needed to get rid of Rondo because he was going to sulk all year because of the possible CP3 trade. Besides, I'm a lot less confident than many here that Danny's not going to get any decent players after the big three leave.
