I am so upset after losing to the heat last night. I really am and all I can seem to do is think about how much I love this team and how I hope there is some way to get a young stud in here and take the load off and still keep the old guys. Pipe dream would be getting a third team invovled and trying to get Dwight howard but all we have to offer team is a TPE. So just to get our minds off of last night try and think of some ideas that you think could happen in the off-season! By the way Love all you Celtics fans! I am so proud of this team and the fans that follow them! Best fans in the world!

Would def. need a third team because we don't have the young assets to get D12 here. To bad he made that blunder and signed the opt out thing with them. Would be amazing to see him as a FA.

Celtics simply don't have the tools needed to get D12 but one thing they absolutely need to do is upgrade the front court. KG is great but at this stage in his career he can't dominate the paint alone. I look for the Celtics to try to sign JaVale McGee, who can score in the post, grab rebounds and run with Rondo. McGee is a somewhat of a Jabroni but if he can get his act together he is a tremendous building block for the future, ecspecially being paired with Rondo. After the big three hang em up, Rondo, Bradley, Green, McGee is a pretty good group to start over with IMO.

Call me crazy, but I don't really want Dwight on our team.  He's proved recently to be a bit of a baby.  He seems to be the opposite of Ray, Paul and KG.  These guys came here and put their egos aside to play for championships and I feel like Dwight is still out for Dwight.  Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I see it.  Best case scenario for me involves Jeff Green winning next years Comeback player of the year, KG coming back for a year, Pierce healing up over the offseason, Bass coming back on the cheap, Rondo continuing to emerge as a top Player( and in the process attracting FAs to come here in the next offseason), and a very solid draft with either two guys that slip to the early 20s or packaging the 2 picks to move up and get someone that we want.
Mock Deadline Denver Nuggets
Nurcic/Henson
Patterson/Bennett/Arthur
Ross/Budinger
Miller/Hunter/Foye
Rubio/Ennis/Bayless

I also could settle with getting Mcgee traded up into maybe the 10 spot and grabbing austin rivers then taking back the old guys. With a team that looked like this not to bad..

Rondo/Bradley
Rivers(10th pick)/ Ray/Bradley
Pierce/Green
KG/Bass
Mcgee/Steamer

IDK the more I look at that it would be a fun team to watch a lot of young legs to match in with our vets. I do see that Pietrus doesn't fit in there so interesting to see but I really want him back so who knows. But something like that wouldn't be to bad.

I might just have my Celtics homer glasses on, and I'm hoping Ray and KG do to but here we go.

KG comes back at 8 million for one year.
Ray comes back at 4 or 5 mil for one year.

Danny takes a hard look at Chris Kaman for his starting PF/C spot. Depending on where they want to put KG.

Danny then tries to sign Lamar Odom or Illyasova. It would probably be Odom on a vet min deal considering how bad his season was. Illyasova is a pipe dream and would probably cost too much considering all the moves I'm trying to make.

Danny brings back Jeff Green to back up Paul Pierce.

Starting lineup:

Rondo
Bradley
Pierce
Kaman
KG

Bench:

Green
Bass
Illyasova/Odom
Ray Allen
Dooling (back up for Rajon? Bradley would also play back up pg minutes.)
Rookie
Jujuan Johnson.

I am not a capologist, nor do I know what the Celtics cap situation would look like but. Odom and Kaman could be had at reasonable deals that could make this all work.

Am i missing something? is pietrus good or something? or is everyone still thinking about pietrus from the Magic. He is trash so is dooling, and big dummy hollins.

Id have to disagree with this aswell. We have 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder thats 3 rooks. I guess people not understanding that Odom ONLY WANTS TO PLAY FOR THE LAKERS.

I like Pietrus because he loved this team so much, and right when he was coming on he gets a concussion. He is a very good defender. Yeah I may be a little green eyed here but I like what he does. But if for some reason we had to go another route then ok. But I wont sit here and say that I wouldn't like for him to be back.

I have to say, McGee feels awful tempting.

I don't trust him and I am scared of how much money he'll command ... but boy oh boy, the idea of him playing alongside Garnett and Rondo, I love it!

I agree. I think he made some mature steps when he went to denver and had some nice games in the playoffs going against bynum.

Celtics only have one second rounder that probably won't make the team, and I fully believe him to try to move up with his 2 first rounders so he has one pick.

Thing about Odom, he's never said he just wants to play for the Lakers. He loved that city yes, and it was a head spin for him to have to leave. He didn't have any time to mentally come to grips with having to leave LA and be effective for Dallas. He basically got thrown right into a season that he clearly wasn't ready for on a new team. I think with a full offseason he can return to what he was.

I also can't remember where, but I could have sworn I read somewhere where he said he'd like to play for the Celtics.

http://www.nesn.com/2012/02/report-lamar-odom-requests-buyout-from-mavericks-to-join-celtics-or-nets.html

What a weird season it's been for Lamar Odom. The Mavericks forward's unhappiness with the trade that brought him from Los Angeles was well-documented, and according to multiple reports he has requested a buyout of his contract. The rumors blog Hoops Authority rekindled that rumor on Tuesday, adding that the Celtics would be one of Odom's preferred destinations.
