Rondo already is the best player on this team. The only way I see Ainge trading Rondo is if he can get Deron and Dwight to come here, which is extremely unlikely.

Rondo stock is at an alltime high. As high as it will ever be. It might time for Ainge to cash in. Trade 4 Dwight, and sign his buddy Deron Williams who is a Free Agent.
I actually do agree with this.  Rondo was phenomenal in the playoffs.  Can he continue it into the regular season?  Probably not.  I don't believe his stock will ever be higher than it is right now.  Ainge will at least need to consider all of his options this offseason.  Possibly even consider moving Rondo for a coveted young player still on his rookie contract if he thinks he can utilize additional cap space.  Who knows.  Dont' ask me to predict what will happen... I have no freakin idea.

SMH at Deron vs. Rondo comparisons.

Is that even a question?

Is there seriously any other PG you would want aside from Rondo?

Well, Chris Pa-- nah. Deron Will-- nah. Derric-- not even. No one, and I repeat NO ONE, affects the game like Rondo. And looking at what he has done this year, especially in the playoffs, he's only going to get better. Rose and Westbrook can score all they want, Paul and Williams will do their thing, but not one of them plays like Rondo. They're efficient point guards, but the way Rondo changes the game is on a whole new level.

Be honest.  How many consecutive seasons have you thought that Rajon Rondo's stock was at an all time high?

It's astonishing, even to me, but he just keeps getting better.

Yes, after this playoff run, is there anyone who is still isn't convinced about Rondo's talent and value to our team?  I can't believe it is still an issue.  We need something to build from.  Rajon has the talent, toughness and intangibles that we need going forward.

I think Doc + Rondo = good things in the future for us.  Yeah, it is gonna take some other top players to fill in for the big 3.  We will have the cap space, and Danny needs to draft well.

It was pretty darn high after 2009 when he nearly averaged a triple double in the playoffs, but he tapered off and came back to earth after that (which he is likely to do again).  I think his play during this run might have been even better.  His shooting looked downright mediocre as opposed to downright terrible.

I agree.  His jump shot definitely keeps improving.  I'd say it's now comparable to someone like Dwayne Wade or Derrick Rose.
