I remember when Jeff Green and Wilcox were both lost for the season with heart conditions. If we had those two, i think we would be in the finals right now. Green instead of Pietrus would have been huge.

Especially because pietrus just a) stands around and doesnt get in transition and b) falls down all the time...I seriously think he still had a concussion in the playoffs. he general body language just was not right.



However, i remember the day Garnett was traded... I was out to dinner with my parents, i had to keep texting friends for updates because this was a pre phone internet era. i remember a lot of things about these last 5 years. too many memories.

I remember we traded for Allen and then KG came along.
I remember opening night and killed the Wizards
I remember Pierce vs James game 7 in 2008
I remember seeing the Celtics beat the Pistons in 2008 and went to the finals first time in 20+ years.
I remember game 1 of the Finals, Posey missed the 3 then KG slammed it on Gasol
I remember game 2 Leon exploded for 20 pts
I remember the 24 pt comeback in game 4
I remember the 30+ pt beat down of Lakers in game 6 and then capturing our 17th banner

I remember the next season we went for 22 straight wins
Skipping middle of season because of you know what
I remember Rondo averaging a triple double in the Chicago series

KG came back, won our first game against the Cavs
Beat down the Cavs in 6 games then approached to dispatching the Magics en route to the finals again in 3 years

THANK YOU CELTICS FOR ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES. I still believe in you guys and wish you guys will still stay for one more run!

I would add one more to that list. the "LETS GO CEL-TICS" chant at the end of a game 6 blow out.

I remember clicking the CB bookmark in my browser and seeing this headline:

The Rumor that just won't die.

And I think there was a picture of KG.

Turns out you could switch "rumor" with "team" and that headline could have been the motto for these Boston Celtics.

Always thankful, always appreciative, always a Celtic.
