Go Thunder.  I actually don't see any way for the Heat to beat the Thunder
And I'd be surprised if the Heat win more than one game, unless
there's home cooking in Miami.  Even then I give them 2 games at most.

Go Perk, Go Ibaka. Get a ring.

Feels bad for Seattle fans, but I want ESPN's Heat Index to keep waiting for LeQueen's first ring.

I don't care about OKC and Miami, they won't have to face the refs against them, so I cannot feel empathy for either team.

But Perk and Ibaka winning will make me feel a bit better.

I prefer the Thunder to win but don't really care about it to be honest.

This will be the 1st time I root for a Western Conference Team in the Finals. Itchy to see how Stern and Co., will stretch this Series to 7 games.

I liked this tweet from Thunder beat writer Darnell Mayberry

Quote
Miami is celebrating and dancing in the locker room. I didn't see that out of the Thunder. We'll see which teams feel likes it has arrived.

Also, anybody remember this one?

Quote
Haslem said of Perkins, “I don’t think he’s all that he shows out there on the court. I think anybody can be a tough guy with a thousand people watching on TV and referees who call fouls and stop the game and different things like that. I don’t see him being any tough guy that he puts on the show to be, at all...If we were playing at the park, I don’t think he’d be doing all that...””

Blah. I'm gonna puke either way. Seattle's stolen team against the two classless jerks. Durant and James will get there 20 free throws a game. Mike Breen and the espn machine will prop them up and compare them to Jordan. David Stern is giddy. Just a puke-fest all around.

Time for Lebron James to get his Ring.
I agree.  Sick of the irrational hate.  The dude is a beast... he's paid his dues.  It's his time.

Let the Thunder and their fans wait a few more years.  The world isn't going to end if one of the greatest players ever (leBron) takes home a much-deserved title.  GO BRON!!!

I'm starting to get over my irrational hatred for Lebron James and the Miami Heat.  They earned some of my respect in this series.  They looked more focused and cohesive than ever against us.

I'll still be rooting for Perk and his Oklahoma City Thunder, though.  Sorry, Seattle.  I've never been to your presumably fine city, but Kendrick Perkins has been in my heart.  That's enough for me.

I think Lebron is a good player who is extremely protected by the refs. His personality bugs me, not just because of the 'decision' it is his personality in general. With all the protection from the refs he still continues to argue with them. The guy should be thanking them! Instead he says things like 'I don't foul out' Why do you think that is Lebron? He is a diva! I don't hate Lebron as much as I hate the way the media, refs, NBA coddles him.

I hope I'm wrong, but I expect LeBron to eat Durant alive.  Too quick, too strong, and long enough to bother Durant's shot.

I honestly believe that Durant is a top five player in the game right now, but I think we'll see in this series how wide the gulf is between #1 and #3-4.

Again, hope I'm wrong.

considering how our banged up C's team took the Heat to 7 games, I see no way they end up beating OKC.

OkC has arguably a big 3 that is just as good as Miami's as well as solid roleplayers in Ibaka, sefalosha, Fisher, Perk.

Sefalosha is going to be able to handle Wade, Lebron will get his 30 but I think OKC takes this handily in 6games

I think you are underestimating Kevin Durant.  We'll see, though.  To me Durant is like Dirk Nowitzki, only with small forward handle and agility.

I agree, though, that he won't be able to guard James one on one for the entire series.  Scotty Brooks will be severely tested.

Kevin Durant has done very well against LeBron during his career.

Especially over these last two years as Durant became an MVP caliber player and his team became a Western Conference power + LeBron moved to Miami to form that Big Three.

I expect it to be very even. Neutral. I think the series will be won and lost elsewhere.

Lebron is going to get his points, but Durant is too...

the key is, if sefalosha can handle wade, and Ibaka/Perk can handle bosh...it wont matter if Lebron averages 30.

Miami additionally wont have an answer for Westbrook like they dont with any other point guard

Their bigs are the difference against Miami mainly Ibaka, just as bigs were our weakness and demise it's to their advantage. They have bangers in the post that defend and they rebound and block shots.

I'll be rooting for Perk but I probably won't watch the finals. I'm so sick of the NBA and ESPN and Breen. I can barely tolerate them when the Celtics are playing. When they're not playing I lose all interest in the NBA. I like OKC as long as they keep Westbrooke's shooting in check.
