Rondo's efficiency is just much better.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I disagree.

Pierce is still a very good ISO player. His shots did not fall tonight, but that doesn't mean we should not go to him when needed.

PP 's play has been subpar for most of this series.  He had the one big shot but LeBron has had his way with us.

I don't like Pierce iso's against LeBron.

Happy to give him a couple against other defenders.

No more dribbling for 15 seconds at the top of the key iso for Rondo

When Rondo dribbles at the top of the key, I wouldn't call it an ISO situation.  In those instances, he's waiting for guys to come of screens and get open within sets.

It seems to me that a lot of people want to see Rondo race up the floor, make or miss, and drive it into the lane on every single possession regardless of what the defense is doing.

Trust me, we won't win that way.  Luckily, both Doc and Rondo have a pretty good understanding of the game and aren't taking advice from amateur bloggers like us.

As who said I am fine with some isos against none lebron players. Pierce was getting some wide open step backs last night just weren't falling.

Also its not like Pierce iso is first option. A lot of times they'll throw him the ball late in the shot clock when first few options breakdown because he can create his own shot. Also if they do go to him as one of the first options it gives other guys a blow.

People make it sound like he is like lebron or wade out there just trying to take everyone on

Pierce needs to play on the move more.

Isos are fine when he gets into a rhythm but clearly the foul trouble got him out of it.

Great point...he needs to get to better places to score. Lebron figured this out for game 6 now Pierce must follow suit.

Nicely put.  He needs more rhythm ISOs, if that's not a contradiction in terms.
