As a basketball fan it is possible to say it will be a great NBA Finals either way; but it is silly to say that the Celtics can't win this after the way the they have owned the Heat all season w/ Bosh and w/o Bosh. As a Celtics fan (supporter / enthusiast) you have to believe or at least acknowledge that they could find a way to win - unless you are clairvoyant.

Wikipedia:
A fan, sometimes also called aficionado or supporter, is a person with a liking and enthusiasm for something, such as a band, a sports team or entertainer.

I just watched the closing minute of that game again thanks to Jeff who posted a clip of it on the front page.  Once again, it got me a little choked up.

If nothing else, it somewhat spoiled Mike Breen's coronation ceremony for Lebron James.  At one point, I think he said something like, "boy, they don't stop" like he was starting to get annoyed by it.

Huge TP to all Celtics fans who took part in that chant.

Just got home from the game with The Fat Kid. As sad as it was to see the game slip away, the diehards who remained to the bitter end were feeling it.  It was not goodbye...it was go to Miami and bring it home.

All of the regulars in the crowd were telling each other "See you at the Finals"

Love this team.  Love the Gahden faithful.

It was a pretty cool thing to be a part of, and it was by no means a goodbye.

I was there staying to the end.  The chant was awesome and hope it gives inspiration to our team.  I had a friend from Alaska fly in to go to the game with me.

Great crowd at the end there, despite the blowout loss.

I've become used to losing home playoff games. Doc Rivers has coached 13 Home Playoff losses in his Celtic career.

This includes 3 Game 7's in Boston, a Game 3 against LA in 2010, (had we won we possibly would have won the chip 4-1).

That was freakin awesome.  Win or lose Saturday that was a beautiful send-off to the Big 3 era.  Proud of the team and proud of the Celtic fans for having the awareness to do that.  Spectacular.  Boston seriously has some of the most knowledgeable and "present" fans in all of sports.  I'm sure players on other teams see something like that and are envious.

I agree that chanting at the end of the game was so appropriate.
Just a big pat on the back to the team, and at the same time a never say die plea that the heat could leave with as well haha.

I was so proud to be a fan seeing how the crowd stayed with it.  I am sure it made an impression on the team.

I'm gonna just go ahead get these two things off my chest. We're probably gonna win game 7, for me this is clear as daylight that we are favorites. However, when our guy scored 40+, it was a close game, and we lost, and that's a horrible feeling. LET'S GO GET IT! Game 7, baby!

He's a CEltic fan.  He's saying that he believes the Celtics are the clear favorites (they definitely aren't)... but is pointing out that when our guy (Rondo) had his huge 40+ scoring game (game 2) we still managed to lose... and that gives him a terrible feeling.  He's trying to be as optimistic as one can be considering the fact that tonight likely was our last Celtic home game this year... and might be the last time we ever see the Big 3 playing together at home in Boston (which I really hope isn't true, but is very possible).

Spectacular send-off by the Celtic fans if this is indeed KG and Company's last stand and the end of our 5 year run.  If this had been a game 7, I'm sure they would have given a huge standing ovation and chanted "Thank you Celtics!  THANK YOU CELTICS!  THANK YOU CELTICS"... but because we still theoretically have a shot to win this series, they kept hope alive with a beautiful "Let's Go Celtics!" chant.  Covers all the "respect" bases and still shows support for a series that is technically still winnable.

@j804 i thought i was clear on my message, it was a sleepless night for me seeing as i woke at 3.30 AM to watch the game :)

I saw people bringing up statistics of when we have a chance of closing a series(before 7) and we don't, and it was horrible, so nothing changed really. How are we on game 7s?

We'll be a lot better on Sunday, I have no idea how I will sleep until then

haha yes, I can agree the odds aren't on our side.  The odds weren't on our side to win game 5 or win 3 in a row.  In the end I don't really care about the odds because we have at least one more game, and a chance.

I don't want to make anyone feel like me, but it is shameful to me for us as fans to just give in.  Oh it is going to be hard, they can't win.  Give me a break.  Can you imagine what KG, PP, RA, Rondo would say to that?  You guys should be embarrassed of yourselves.

....Um, Isn't that what THEY just did with that crud effort in this game 6.....at home.....to close out the Heat?!

Please put me and this team out of their Misery
