I'm not one of those guys that blames everything on effort, like there is only one team playing and that team can do anything they want.  This isn't about effort, we just got beat by the better team tonight.

Disappointing that we couldn't even make it a game and get excited for even part of the game.  I'll watch on Saturday, even though I have to skip a friend's anniversary dinner.  I'll root like hell til the game is over.

But honestly, it's difficult to expect to win.  Sure, we have a chance because we are at least playing in the game.  But that's all.

well, for most of the night we were down by around 10... if paul could have hit a [dang] shot tonight to save his life, we would have been tied most of this game.

Very, very disappointing loss

  • GOT IT!!!
James showed why he is a superstar. C's had plenty of chances to cut the lead into single digits and make Miami feel some pressure, but couldn't get it done.

They played terrible tonight, Pierce especially.

Yeh they busted their butts in the third quarter and couldn;t cut into the lead.  They just couldn't put the ball in the hoop tonight.

Yup

We just won 3 games in a row, and kept this game within 10 while Lebron was shooting 90% and Pierce couldn't buy a shot.

How can Game 7 be anything but a toss-up at this point?

If anything else, you still have to favor the home team.  Plus, bosh is getting healthier.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
We got beaten by one man tonight.
We also shot 1 from 13 from three point range.
Lebron shot some terrible shots that just dropped- similarly to last year against us.
He took the shots we wanted him to and sometimes they fall.

We kept fighting but just couldn't break that 8 point margin late in the third.
We are still the better team and we are still favorites to win this series.
Last chance for this big 3 to show what they're made of.
Have faith.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Yeah disappointing is an understatement. The sad thing is I spent all day waiting for this game and too anxious to get any work done so I'll have to make up for it on Saturday to make a deadline. I doubt I'll watch the game but I'm still demanding a win. The fans need something to wipe this game from memory. I still can't get the 2010 finals out of my mind. I don't want this one in there too.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Series would have been over with one run to start the game. Miami would have laid down and felt the pressure. Lebron does not go off if the Celtics delivered a punch early. Instead they sit back and hope for the best. That's just in this Celtics teams DNA. They never close when they have to.

There's was no problem with the effort tonight.  Let's hope James doesn't go for 50 mostly on contested jump shots again in game seven.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

That was the only way the Heat could win this game.

C's collective shooting poorly + turnovers and LeBron going for 40+ on 80% shooting.

That guy is unreal when his jumper is on.

I don't think the C's played well at all tonight and it seems like they do this every time they have a close out game on their own home floor.

It's a dud almost every time.

Would you be more disappointed if we had a 15-point lead in the 4th quarter, let it get away, and lost on a Lebron or Wade fadeaway 3 at the buzzer? Probably.

We got beat. It happens.  That's why the series are 7 games.  I predicted the C's in 7.

Sucks we lost, but cant take away a great night from Lebron.  We had a horrid night shooting, and basically doing anything.  Either the fix was in or we choked.  Lebron did not beat us, we beat ourselves.  The rest of the Heat, like the C's just stood around and became a WITNESS :-X

If they play like yesterday, there is no chance on Saturday. If we pass on Saturday, OKC is 10 times stronger than Miami and the final games VS will be a pure sweep
