I don't feel good about tonight. I still don't trust this team in closeout situations. History has shown C's are a poor closeout team. I got Heat winning game 6 and 7. Hope I'm wrong

If my memory serves me well, KG led Celtic teams are undefeated in close out games at home. Go Celtics!

Actually 9-1.  They lost to Orlando when KG was hurt in 2009 I think.

That's the number that has been going around but I think it's wrong.  We also lost a close out game at home to Orlando when we were up 3-0.  So we've lost at least two at home.

I forgot about the near sweep of Orlando. And then I'm looking past the 2009 loss, as KG was out for the playoffs. Perkins and Davis had to match Dwight and Rashard Lewis. Nonetheless, the Celtics are better than average at closing teams out.  :P

They need to deliver at least 2 big hammer runs tonight. Then Miami will crumble. I can't wait!

On top of an upcoming wedding and honeymoon, I've been up nights these past few weeks because of my love for the Celtics.

I'm actually more anxious because of the Celts.  Doesn't help that the games don't end until near-midnight.  How the heck can a fan fall asleep after a victory or a loss.  My heart just races on and on.

We all need a collective group hug after this season.

Love this team!

I was at that Game.  Man, when Pierce was dribbling the ball up the court with a chance to win the game and send the Celts back to the Finals the place was going bananas.  Of course he ended tripping over himself and the Celts lost in OT.
Yup

I'm more excited than anxious.

Once we get into the 4th quarter and start to see the inevitable slipping of the double digit lead I'll start to get nervous.

not happening tonight captain.

celts dominate and win by double digits.
I didn't mean for that to come across as pessimistic.  I think the Celts will win pretty comfortably tonight too.  I just think they'll have to withstand a run or two or three (like most NBA games - especially ones between two good teams).

On a side note...never liked being called "captain" or "chief" or those sort of names. Maybe that's just me.
Yup

Man, I've now got flying saucers in my stomach.  Being on the west coast, I still have two more hours of work...er, at least I will be at work for two more hours.

I don't know why you'd be anxious...It's not an elimination game. You honestly think the Celtics would have no chance in game 7?

Oh, I think we'd have a chance in game 7, but I think it would be diminished if the Heat win tonight.

If we can't finish them tonight, then the anxiety level just raises up to a whole new level.  Many of us simply may not be able to bear it.

Like others have said, today should be treated like a game 7.

And it seems you missed this thread from earlier this week.  There is more riding on this game than even the Celts know. :P

There is a lot that makes me nervous about this game -- the Heat do have a top team at full strength and can explode on any given night.  Bosh will play more and that's a factor in their favor.  Of course it feels better (at least it should) that we are up 3-2 rather than down 3-2.  It will be depressing if we lose tonight and heart-breaking if we lose on Saturday, but in time you have to view this as a great ride.  And....there is no chance for a Laker championship.

From a different perspective, Heat fans might be a little anxious too.

I somehow got through the work day and have been watching crappy movies since I got home.
