Thats true but when comparing similar talents Rings is a very useful barometer IMO

Not when their supporting casts are drastically different.

I disagree.  I still think it means something

Why?

If you were to swap Marc Gasol and Andrew Bynum in the past 10 years, what are the chances the Grizzlies win a championship? What are the chances the Lakers still win 3?

Yeah, I buy Rondo's argument for VC over Kobe but not Bynum over Gasol. All this being said, Dirk has led a comparatively less talented team to a championship over more talented teams. Why couldn't he do that in  this format?

Pretty honorable of you to concede that Kobe Bryant was a better player than Vince Carter

I'd take Marc over Bynum myself, but I'd accept an argument for Bynum. But the 'count the ringz' argument in this case - and, in most cases - is nonsense.

I disagree.  Rings are pretty important.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I'm bored and sick of talking about how grievously under-appreciated my team is. At some point in the next hour or 3 I'm gonna start breaking down all the other teams as best I can.

You act like there isn't a whole armada of spreadsheets. You fool, you're already in too deep!

Man, I feel sad for Virgil. Really.

But doesn't he get paid by diBiase a ton of money?

All joking aside, that's just really sad to see him appear in conventions and not even one dude recognize him.

I don't know if it's a matter of people not recognizing him, as it is a case of him being, ya know, Virgil.
