Boston Celtic fans have no credibility criticizing another fan base for conspiracy theories. We all need to shut our pie hole on this one.

Don't think it was fixed but that tech on Chalmers in that moment was AWFUL.

So was the foul and T on Bass

That tech was legit.

Wade did the same thing when he slammed the ball down afte he fouled pierce on a play and wasn't called for a tech

Did they show a replay of the Bass tech?? I didn't see it.

How about wade slamming the ball down after a Celtics.and 1 (i think Pierce). Isn't that the same thing.

I can't help but laugh about someone complaining about a travel on Pierce when Wade is taking 3 or 4the stows literally running away from defenders. Seriously watch wades last couple buckets its truly laughable

Was the ball 15 feet in the air at halfcourt?

Its not the same thing.

Losing teams always say the games are fixed (see:  Boston fans after game 2).  I'm sure when we drop game 6 in Boston... the crybaby fix train will swing back our way.

It's all nonsense, though.  I get their beef... I get Boston's beef in game 2.  But both aren't malicious... it's just refs being refs.  THere's an element of human error that has always and will always be a part of being a referee.

Yes, they showed a replay and Bass' tech was pretty much automatic.

The last few minutes of the game we were back to playing 5-on-8 with Wade's absurd messiahesque travels.  Completely absurd that they can't "see" 3 complete steps without a dribble.

It was probably 9 feet in the air.

If the Chalmers tech was the other way around sure half of us would be complaining about it but half would be saying how stupid it was for player x to put themselves in that position.

Not to mention it looked worse in realtime and he did have 2 arms extended into the chest. Mayne shouldn't have been called then but probably called most of the time early in games.

I love how some people are acting like the Heat have just as many gripes from these games as the Celtics did the in the first 2 games. If anything the crappy calls are at least evening out now. You can't tell me that we are being favored by the refs. 4 more techs like that Chalmers one and ill believe it. Pierce getting to the line 25 times and ill believe it.

And that tech wasn't that big a deal, but it was a clear as day tech.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Eh, I get that the Chalmers tech was questionable, but Rondo getting hit in the head at then end of game 2 where we would have had a chance to go up by two is a non-call that directly lost us the game. The Heat got an easy tranistion basket out of it and that four point swing was devastating.

I'm not even going to mention the Wade 'kick', since Garnett did reach on that one. The series should have been 1-1 at that point, but Miami went up 2-0 instead. I really don't want to hear about them complaining.

It's interesting.  The officials make a bad call
then they make a make up call (which doesn't exist according to David Stern)

either way - then there are two bad calls made to counteract one another.  & I can see why some people say it's fixed.

If you've read DONAGHY's BOOK then you would probably think it was fixed even more.

ANYONE READ ABOUT THE (FIRST REF TO CALL A FOUL GAME)???

He basically states that the ref that calls the first foul must tip the ball boys & pay for the post game beers.

He sites a bunch of situations where they will call a travel instead of a foul or an out of bounds, or an up & down.  Essentially they get creative with it.

Funny thing is, last night - the first 5 mins of the game.
NO FOUL &  a bunch of suspect calls.

Kind of makes me wonder........

Wade was p---ed and smacked the ball off the court and into the crowd.  I remember thinking at the time that it would be a tech for any other player.

Tech on Bass was correct, but Wade should have been called as well.

Yeah, I can't even remember what play with Wade you're talking about, so if he did it, it was discrete enough at least.  Bass' you couldn't miss.  Sometimes thats the difference in a T or no T.

I remember that play, that was Pierce's and-1, right?

Yeah you could definitely argue he deserved a tech for that.

What'd you guys think of Wades butt charge on Pierce late in last nights game? Just out of control turning his back into Pierce.

Not only do those 2 get away with traveling but out of control driving, and so many times when they go up for a lay up at the basket they ward or kick off of a player. The one time lebron doesn't and he gets rejected.

I was reading the Miami board on Realgm and some fans were saying that the reason they are losing is because the games are fixed.  Are you kidding me!  Heat fans talking about fixed games? ::)

well they're partially right.  it's just fixed in favor of the Heat.   ;)
